I think you all believe Central has not reloaded. The QB they have ran the option in the St.X game better than anyone I've ever seen. They will give the Highlands defense trouble if they gave St.Xs(arguably the best in the state).

I'm sure HHS has learned something from the Colerain game, they run the option as well. Hopefully they will crash down on the QB and hit him everytime whether he has the ball or not. I would like to see them apply pressure on the outside more as well and not play back or their heals.

I'm sure the coaches will take care of this in their scouting reports and adjust as usual!!

Sounds like just the type of game both teams need going into the playoffs. Go Birds!

After last year the Birds are not taking anything for granted!!!

I'd say Highlands has seen a team run the option better than Central (i.e Colerain) and the coaching staff will have made adjustments since then to put them in the right positions to defend and stop it.

 

I'm sure Central has reloaded. But at the same time so has Highlands. Only one more day!!!

Their only long road trip last season was disastrous, to Johnson Central. They played well below their ability and had a bad showing.

 

The only away games this season have been at Manual, Moore and St Xavier, nothing like the trip to Fort Thomas will be.

Central also took a long road trip to Paducah Tilghman in the semifinals, winning 17-14 on a last-second field goal.

 

In my opinion, it added fuel to the notion that Central doesn't travel particularly well.

I'm going to guess that the Birds will "buckle their chin straps". Penalty if they don't. I just can't see this team not being at the top of their game this week. Central is coming in as a defending state champ, that gave the Birds everything they could handle last year. I'll be real surprised if HHS is not clicking on all cylinders.

And there's nothing like coming to the Bird House and experiencing that crowd and tradition;)
