I have heard that Highlands will again be looking for a new baseball coach this year. Is this true?

Really, what is happening to the current coach?

I heard this also. He teaches at Cambell County I beleive, so hes not around the school he coaches at. From what I have heard, he doenst have much of any relationships with his players, and has a bit of an attitude towards things. Honestly, I cant say whether or not I would prefer him coaching at Highlands, but I wouldnt be suprised if Jeremy Bionomi(sp) steps in as headcoach. Hes the guy who has relations with people at the school, also he lives and dies baseball!

I don't agree with your remarks about Coach Johnson. I think he should be congradulated on the job he's done with the program in 3 short years. His reasons for leaving the program would be respected by most men.

Now, I do 100% agree with you about Jeremy. He loves the sport, knows the sport and loves the players. He should get a shot at moving the program forward. This should be an interesting off season for the Baseball Birds. I hope the decision makers do the right thing!

I definately think Jeremy should get the job. He is the perfect guy for the baseball program. Jeremy has a ton of contacts and is always going to clinics to improve his knowledge of the game..I also believe he will get the better athletes walking around the halls to play...He is willing to put the time in to take the baseball program to the next level...:ylsuper::ylsuper::ylsuper:

Jeremy would be a great choice, but my understanding is that the job was offered to someone else first. I would hate to think that Jeremy was second choice, but I believe will be in line should the offer be turned down.

That seems quick, since the resignation wasn't official until Monday evening at the Board Of Ed. Meeting.

Who is this Jeremy Bioni guy? What's his background?

You are 100% right, it was announced Monday evening, but it has been known for over 2 weeks of the impending change.

Jeremy is an outstanding guy and passionate about Baseball. He would make an outstanding selection by Highlands, if they are looking to have a Baseball guy, run the program.

If this is true then the administration at HHS doesn't want a winning program. There is not a better canidate than Jeremy...He knows all about the ends and outs of dealing with the kids and parents of Ft.Thomas...I really hope he gets the opportunity that he deserves..He would be the coach there until he started wearing DEPENDS. :D

Couldn't agree more, the man loves the game, and loves Highlands, while I can understand loving baseball, loving HHS I just can't understand! J/K, :D Jeremy knows that I am rooting for him to get this job!

How can an offer be made when the school has to post for 30 days to allow for other applications? Your understanding might be that another person has "applied". I'm with the majority that the right person should be chosen from the current staff. The program needs to keep going in the right direction and JB will provide that leadership. He has a great relationship with the players and parents and most of all the knowledge to coach.

I'm sorry, I used a term that sounds too official. This has been talked about for a few weeks. Someone in the Birds family has been approached regarding the potential opening, and the job was his for the taking. The announcement at the Bd. Meeting was a formality, but not the beginning of the process. The former Bird, who would be a nice fit, but has not committed to leave his current job (at another school). With schools starting back, it makes this more feasible that JB could be in line for the position. Again, JB is a perfect and I hope he gets the opportunity, it just did not appear to be the #1 option at the time.

If Jeremy Baioni is named the head coach, who would be his assistant coaches? Where does Aaron Stapleton fit into the mix?
