Both teams battled hard in this game. LexCath led 7-0 at the half on a punt return for a TD. A couple of long plays to the outside by Highlands were the difference in this one. Otherwise it was a defensive struggle.

I didn't attend the game, but I heard it was physical as indicated. Also heard there were some personal fouls as well as an ejection for HHS. Nice road win for the Birds though.

Love to hear from someone that was at the game.

4 to be exact. It wasn't pretty!!!!! But hey, we won.

Cory Compton had a really nice game running the ball. Other than that the offense really struggled to say the least. The Defense did a great job stepping up their play. I would single out someone's impressive defensive play but since he didn't stay in the game, it wouldn't be fair to say his name. Other than the one breakdown on punt return for a score the Birds played well.:thumb:

Don't mean to switch gears hear but is it true that Louisville St X's JV is coming to Ft Thomas next Sat to play the JV.

Hey Thanks!!!!

Good job - the talent just keeps building and building for the Birds.

I believe it was New.

Who QB'd for Highlands?

The question is, who will Qb against St. X. Since HHS has a bye week, wondering how many "middle" classmen get to play this week. This ought to be good.
