Can you say Bardo....:sssh::sssh:

Why would you risk injury to your starting DB for a JV game? That said, I really would like to see him QB the game.

The question is, who will Qb against St. X. Since HHS has a bye week, wondering how many "middle" classmen get to play this week. This ought to be good.

I am thinking Will Bardolini as well... good prep for William for future action and great leadership for the JV squad. New has done an admirable job as a Frosh JV QB... but if the 'Birds plan to play with St X's talented team then Bardo's arm strength and his foot speed will be much needed.

I too expect some underclassman to come down to join the JV squad for Saturday's action. Beck and company comes to mind!

I believe it was New.

New QB'd most of the game. Needs to develop arm strength for the long pass and for the 'sticks pass when a 'zipped' ball is needed. Has a good head on his shoulders and expect development in the weight room during the off season.

The 'birds fans outnumbered the Knghts fans by at least 2:1. I knew the Lex Cath fans did not travel well for the JV games... but expected a better showing for their home game. I heard Lex Cath had a lot of Frosh dressed for the game and perhaps that may explain the apathy. The Lex Cath fans that attended the contest were very nice and gentile folks. (Not sure what triggered the animosity on the playing field... we always have the ususal suspects in the JV games but we had some new participants for Saturday's contest.:argue:)

All in all, it was a spirited game that ended well for the blue and white in Lexington. (The 'Birds and the 'Cats!)

Why is the HHS JV team not playing Scott County, as previously scheduled? Also, what time is the HHS-Saint X JV game?

It may be for availability and to get in another game after Scott canceled last week.

Not sure of the time. I heard around noon at HHS.

Actually, I thought the crowd looked to be about 50/50. Of course it's hard to tell when both teams wear Blue & White.

Also, I was pleased with the defensive effort by the Knights. It was nice to see them put up a great goal-line stand. The offense struggled but that was due, in large part, to the Birds defense.

This was a very entertaining game to watch except for the short stretch of the game with flaring tempers.

Isn't Austin Abner back from injury??? I wonder why he hasn't been getting very many snaps???:confused::confused: If I'm not mistaken wasn't he starting JV QB before his injury??

Yes Austin is back from injury. And yes he was the starter before he got hurt in the Colerain game. With two weeks of practice time put in already, we can only assume he will be rotated back into the starting role. Nice game to be put back in but I'm sure will be up for the challenge if givin the chance.

Glad to hear that Austin is back.:thumb:

Dale contacted the Jr. Football League to let them know that the game will be played at 11:00am this Saturday.

Geez...another time change for my kids game..

Can you say Bardo....:sssh::sssh:

As much as I would love for this to happen I really don't think Dale will let him play. I know he asked at the beginning of the year to play JV so that he could get in some reps at QB. Dale didn't want him to play then but you never know with Dale???

If I was a betting man I would bet that Dale will bring some kids down to play..:D

That almost never happens. ;)
