That road goes both ways no quick way to get into HC either, transportation issues for alot more people when its at HC. The new HC gym is awsome, one of the best I've been in, but for all involved The Arena just makes more sense to me. As for food, gas, etc. if one thought Corbin already had enough money, eat or whatever in B'ville, London, Pineville or somewhere else. The Arena filled with loud, region basketball fans (5000 or 6000) of them would be a site to see for a high school athlete.

I don't know about Laurel Co. but I've known more than one princpal to hire who they want with no imput at all from the site base. With the right coach (one that stays awhile) there is no reason South and North can't have successful football programs.

I'm not sure but I think the school principal is able to hire whomever they want to its not the SBD decision at all. They may have input but the principal has the final say so. South needs a coach pretty soon IMO.

Why was he suspended? By the school or the KHSAA?

I agree I don't think 1b21 cares much for Whitley or Harlan Co. either.

If you are talking about the nephews I have watched in middle school, they will play for Knox Central (and should be really good players) unless something has happened lately, Brent I believe was the only Canady to play at Corbin.

If the school system bought around 20 rings that would be over $5000. A big expense I would think. Not to belittle the state champs, but a big expense to the school system.

Thanks, I understand now the concept of week 0 now. I hadn't heard of a week 0 until this thread, I guess it makes sense.

If he can't play in this game thats just terrible for the young man.

My point is whoever and whenever the first game is played that would be week 1, never heard of week 0.

It would be my guess he is confused and thinking of big Isiah Mills at Corbin a few years ago.

What source did you get this info.? I've not heard anything about Elam being let go. KC natives have always been restless. They should have kept JD Strange years ago, untelling were they would be today if they had.

You are right I meant 3 total players Crawford on the second team and the other two on HM list. Either way strong showing for the Hounds.

Does HC have a new baseball field? Their gym is the nicest high school one around, I would guess the other fields etc. will follow suit.

What sport or sports will Watts play in college? Which would be his best fit? Is Wagner from LC going to play at the next level? If he recovered from his knee injury he has the potential to do so.

I agree; Josh Smith may have been their best player the last month of the season, he really finished strong. Glad to see him on the HM list.

I say you may be on to something there:p wonder what he gets per year? But whatever it is as a head coach (like him or not) he is worth every penny!

Congratulations to all the 13th region players who are on these lists. Three from Corbin on honorable mention and Crawford on the second team no wonder they are in the sweet sixteen. I agree Seidel should be at least on the HM list.
