Other than Miller who does KC have coming back that will make an impact? Personally I look for South to be the front runner due to St. John and coaching staff, Clay will be tough as well, Corbin has several good players but will miss Crawford and Smith (who may have been their best player the last month of the season) alot. 13th could be a wide open affair.

Nine regions in a row Impressive. The Freemans must be an unreal tennis playing family! How many of the nine years has a Freeman being playing?

Congrats to Josh he should do well, the site says he was 13th region player of the year, I may be wrong but wasn't James David Strange of Pineville voted player of the year in the 13th? Centre will be a good fit for Crawford.

All I can say to that is WOW! I heard KC made a bundle year before last and I'm sure Bell did just fine last year. If not why bother with the headache of being a host.

I wouldn't feel sorry for Coach Hicks, he's came along way from Evarts in Harlan Co.

Why not he may have gotten a little raise from the last couple of days. Personally I didn't think he would leave, but you never know.

If this was to happen would Brad Sizemore be ready to take over South with Denny's help?

The All A should split with all the A teams involved, they are the only teams that can play in this tourney. The crowds for these games would mostly be fans of the smaller schools and thats were All A money would come from. The region is open to all 17 teams and a much larger (IMO) more important event. I can see KC wanting to keep things the way they are now, they have the only gym large enough for the region in their district, a money maker for them, but not fair to LC, Pineville, and B'ville. Wonder if KC splits their region money with those schools?

They were better that day if they won. :idunno: I don't know the game, but if you win, for whatever reason you are better that game, IMO.

It would be my guess people from other parts of the region (Laurel Co. Whitley Co. W'burg, LC, Jackson Co. etc.) don't care much for the drive either. Every fourth year would be fine, if HC pays out to all teams in the region equal amounts of money similar to the Arena.

All parking lots are not paved yet, I'm sure they will be long before the region rolls around. I understand were the Harlan folks are coming from, but The Arena is super nice and a great location.

I wonder how much money a "TOWN", would make, I've been to many regional tournments and 99% of the time I just go to the 2 games then home, its not like a regional brings in money to the town like going to Pigeon Forge does.

I remember that name he was a good one to make it to the Colonels back then they were tough.
