  1. Nice win for LC, I believe they should be the favorite for the All A even though B'ville smoked them last week, if LC is hitting from the outside it will be hard for the teams in their bracket to beat them. Could B'ville and LC play in the finals?
  2. Well I said in the Lynn Camp - B'ville thread it wouldn't suprise me to see KC beat the Tigers in this one, so I guess I'm not surprised. Does this set up a rematch between LC and KC in the district? If so should be a fun game.
  3. Sounds like a good bounce back win for LC. I thought this game was on the schedule for Tuesday night.
  4. Wow if thats the case you need to go to Vegas while your hot:scared: after the way the KC game went I felt Lynn Camp had to be the favorite over B'ville. Looks like LC's defense is still a work in progess.
  5. Does this mean Barbourville beats Knox Central by 46 when they play? The way this district is going it wouldn't suprise me to see KC win. After watching LC take apart KC and reading your very nice article on LC, Les, I really thought LC would would beat the Tigers in a game much like the KC one, not get took down hard. Year in and year out Dinky Phipps gets more out of less talent than the majority of coaches in the state. Will Bville move into the top ten now?
  6. Other than Miller and the big kid who is a freshman, KC is a really small team, rebounding for them would be a problem, it didn't look to me like they were a very good shooting team at all (Miller included). Looks like a team of role players to me, maybe they don't feel that way.
  7. From where I was sitting it didn't look like one or two of Central's best players even wanted to be there, LC was the better team for sure, they were bigger, faster, and sure wanted the game alot more. It didn't hurt that Mobley for LC was on fire in the first half, I think he had 4 or 5 3's in the first half all of them wide open, I don't remember KC hitting one the entire game and they struggled at the free throw line as well. To me Mobley and Wagner for LC were the best two players on the floor for either team. This district seems to be wide open.
  8. Looks like the Hounds almost had a bye in the first two rounds, who plays in the games tonight?
  9. Great win for the Tigers, I believe they lost by 10 or 12 to Bell last week at home. So this would be a huge turnaround.
  10. I feel like any win is a good one, who won the tourney?
  11. IMO he needs to step it up he has alot of potential to not go 100% all the time. Maybe he has had his way before and its not working out that way now, don't know this at all, just guessing.
  12. After looking at these scores I guess this was a somewhat normal Knox and South game, man 92 to 39 in 05-06 was a major beat down.
  13. This score is suprising Bell's new coach has them rolling. Who did they lose to?
  14. Should be a hard fought game but SC has to many top level players I would say 15 to 20 point victory for Scott Co. sounds about right, could be worse but Coach Hicks wouldn't let it get to out of hand.
  15. Personally I think this move is a good one for all schools not just a select few and what kind of business do you have that depends on something that comes your way only every 8 to 12 years anyway? This event should be whats best for the kids who play the games.
  16. I totally agree with you.:thumb:
  17. I agree a totally different type point guard than Wilson but very capable and if he stays healthy a star in the making. As for the game Clay will be hard to deal with at home, Clay 62 Corbin 59.
  18. Team effort for sure, but Watkins will have alot to do with this effort, wish this game was in Corbin this year.
  19. I'm sure the 12th region coaches were glad to see both go, it made the road to Rupp a whole lot easier for them. I always felt it made no sense to drive past both schools to get to teams in the 13th. Rockcastle, Jackson Co. etc.. It would be interesting to see how many 13th region championships in all sports North and South have won in the 13th since being here. Schools like Whitley (this is their thread) and all other schools have had to step it up a notch to compete and thats a good thing.
  20. My guess it would not have been most of the teams in the 13th, looks like they would have been in the Clay Co. district together so the KHSAA gave that district the lesser of two evils and put South in the 50th. Clay could have had a say in that, maybe not.
  21. Should be a good day of high school basketball, also they added a 8:30 am game (early one for sure) Lynn Camp vs Danville.
  22. Press release from the Arena has South Laurel playing Scott Co. 11/21/09 at 7:00 p.m. the 8th of 9 games there that day. Warren Central and Knott Co. Central play the 1:00 game, should be a good one as well.
  23. Congrats! She was one heck of a volleyball player as well, whatever "IT" is a D1 type athlete has she's got "IT", good luck.
  24. I'm sure they would love to be there.....How would the Falcons beat a decal off a helmet anyway:idunno:. Does that win you a game?
  25. Good point Les you are a thinking man for sure.
