She is the 3rd softball player (Becky Abner & Ali Ray) from Laurel County to sign to play softball for the Lady Cats!!!

Congrats! She was one heck of a volleyball player as well, whatever "IT" is a D1 type athlete has she's got "IT", good luck.

Very true. As good a volleyball player as she is, she is even a better softball player. Already has the state record for hits in a season (81), doubles in a season (27). Very well could eclipse the career state records for doubles (Lindsay David 73 - CAL) & hits (Ali Ray 318 - North Laurel). She already had 56 doubles going into last season and has to be right at the record for doubles.

This is big time news for this area.

Congrats to you Emily.

Good stuff, Emily!

I think I first saw her play when she was in about sixth grade. It was easy to tell she'd be a good one.

I forgot that you had seen her all those many years ago. She has really stepped up to be one of those special players that doesn't come around that often, ... but you'd like to have a whole team full of them!!!
