I think our PA announcer got Shelby Valley fired up. 23-0 mid way through the 1st quarter. He gave the score and said "......Corbin 23 (pause) SV (pause) zero". The zero was as if he was making fun of SV then some on the Corbin side gave a little laugh.... They were a different team after that, scoring 20 before the half and holding Corbin scoreless.

 

The second half SV had 1 drive where they moved the ball. The TD in the 2nd half was a kickoff return by # 19.

Shelby Valley dug themselves a hole and never did get completely out of it, a couple of special teams mistakes really cost them. Corbin came out with focus and intensity, need it for the entire game the rest of the way.

This was a great game. Watching Watkins and BJ Roberts go at it like heavyweight fighters on both sides of the ball was really fun to watch.
