I agree basketball officals shouldn't respond to the crowd it just adds fuel to the fire, but I disagree about the football officals they are usually so far away from the crowd there is no way for them to hear whats being said. If someone on the sidelines is screaming personal things they get moved. Basketball on the other hand, the crowd is right on top of the officals. Thick skin I would think is a must for a basketball ref.

Did Harlan Co. JV play Corbin's JV this year? If so how did that turn out? On a side note it would have been much more interesting if the A game had been a little closer.

I thought this would be a tough one for Corbin, sounds like a real good game. Why would there be 13th region officals at MC? Was the foul shot difference really 30 to 9 in Corbin's favor at one point? If so wow.

:eek: Sounds to me like you were maybe talking about yourself, if so its good you are a former high school referee, a small percentage may be this way but its very, very small. As others have said I feel most officals let the comments from coaches and fans (if not personal) roll of their back like water off a duck. I always thought it would be a real site to let the fans with the loudest mouths call just one half of a game and video it. I'm sure it would make America's funniest videoes. Officals have a hard job at best, I sure wouldn't want it.

It would be bad if weather keeps this game from being played. Down the road in the region this type game would be important to both teams for the experience alone. Is McCreay going to get a massive snowstorm? While listening to Corbin and LC last night Dave and Dave said at least 5 or 6 times weather may keep this game from being played, hope not.

Disagree with that statement, sounds to me like no matter who the official was Coach Wright was asking to be tossed or see just how far he could push the issue, guess he got his answer.

I think I heard on the radio LC won the JV game 60 to 56, if so that would be the only positive they took away from Corbin. LC need to work on their defense they have lost 3 of their last 4 by scores of 77 to 54, 90 to 58, and last night 95 to 68. They have the potential to win their district, but not playing this type D.

I don't think there are several teams capable of beating Corbin, but there are two or three on a given night capable of winning over them.

Playing at MC will be tough for the Hounds, they have been on a roll, but they may be in trouble in this game. MC 70 Corbin 65 in a barnburner.

Once you get the first (no matter how bad the call was) a coach would have to understand he is treading on thin ice. Who took over the coaching duties after he was gone?

Bell could be a spoiler for someone in the region, they have several good athletes who can get after it. M'boro other than the one big strong kid (Green maybe) has a long, long way to go.

I agree somewhat, 3 or 4 of those type teams on their schedule would have been good for Corbin to really gauge how good they are. On the other hand they just have to beat teams like they have played this year (for the most part) to get out of the 13th and on to Rupp. IMO the 13th is as weak as its been in a long time and the hounds should roll.

Has he been tossed before? He sure goes after the officals in games I have saw. Must have went after the wrong one tonight.

I would guess anything less than a 20 plus point win at home for Corbin would be a positive for LC. Corbin has rolled over most of the teams in the 13th can't see LC being any different. Corbin has a real tough game the next night at MCcreary so they may take it fairly easy on the Cats. Corbin 78 LC 51.

Agree any win is a good win, but IMO Corbin should beat Pineville this year by 30 or 40 so not impressive just a good team over a poor one.

Not really Pineville, though very well coached is not a good team at all, they have a few really young players who may be good in the next couple of years just not now.

That would be the case in 99% of the games they play, I'm sure South has a plan for both Johnson and Wilson if their players carry it out South could pull an upset here. If not Corbin by 8 to 10.

If it comes down to the D like you say the Hounds will roll, I expect KC to be really up for this game and maybe play one of their better games of the year. Corbin should win by 15 or more but you never know what can happen in a rival game like this one. The difference will probley be the play of I. Wilson in the 4th, Corbin will sure miss him when he is gone next year!

B'ville 78 LC 73 P'ville 51 W'burg46 B'ville 62 P'ville 57 But this could actually flip-flop and not suprise me. I think LC would beat W'burg in the final if it did though.

I agree it should be much closer this time, but can LC make up the 26 point difference from their last game? The team that shoots the ball best in this game wins and LC must play a lot better defense as well.

This game went about the way one would expect, OBI is not very good. Should be a good game vs B'ville on Thursday. A lot a stake for both teams in this one, don't think the Tigers can roll over Cats this time.

Manns not being there could be a big problem for Corbin, and as someone said Whitley will really be up for this game, but I still see the Hounds winning in a barnburner, 65 to 61 with Wilson getting about 10 pts in the last 3 minutes.
