Matt St. John went down with a bad ankle sprain in the second quarter, but managed to come back at about 70 percent.

Clay led 42-31 before South rallied, but the tigers were just too much in the end.

 

Coach Wright was thrown out midway through the third quarter of the game as well.

 

The Tigers were only 17-of-30 from the free throw line.

Has he been tossed before? He sure goes after the officals in games I have saw. Must have went after the wrong one tonight.

He deserved the second technical, but not the first one. The ref made the wrong call. It wasn't offensive goal tending.

Once you get the first (no matter how bad the call was) a coach would have to understand he is treading on thin ice. Who took over the coaching duties after he was gone?

I don't know because I wasn't there but he must have done something to get the first one or the official wouldn't have given him one. I have seen the way that he acts towards officials so he probably deserved it. I don't really know for sure but it was a big win for Clay they are making a run as of late.

Brad Sizemore took over. If St. John was healthy South beats Clay. Nobody will tough Corbin. The Hounds are 10 points better than anyone in the region.

I thought he should have been T'd up when St. John was injured. Wright kept riding the officials as if were their fault St. John came down on someones foot. There was absolutely no foul on the play but he just kept on and on and on over the play as if he were blaming the officials for the injury. If wright had put as much energy towards coaching his team as he did wasting his time riding the officials he would have been much better off. On second thought, Sizemore done a much better job than Wright was doing. The whole fiasco may have been South's only chance at winning.

Almost every game I have ever seen involving SL Wright has deserved a T. Glad to see some stripes were finally brave enough to give him one!!
