I was not there, but I understand that Wright was also upset with a push in the hip on the same play where he was hurt, along with the goal tending call.

 

I think that there are MANY MANY missed calls every game that every coach can get upset about, but seriously all it does it get the Refs mad at you. And some teams get calls, I guess it is a case of the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer. There are certian teams (like the Clay of old) that was going to get the benifit of the doubt all the time, and I think South was that way when they first entered the 13th, and now they are not getting those calls and it is hard for Wright to swollow.

Coach Wright is right... the South fans should be up cheering because they've had a good run over the last 5-7 years. The Clay fans will cheer because... well, just because. South is lucky to have only been in the region the time they have been. If they'd been in the region for the last 30 plus years they'd appreciate what they've done the last several years 'cause it hasn't always been that easy.

I wasn't at the game, so don't know if the T's were legit or not. I was just told that it was being investigated because a ref on the game said BEFORE the game he was going to eject Coach Wright. I'm not saying that I know this to be true, only that it was told to me. I guess only time will tell...

 

I don't know anything about this one, but I do know that I have heard officials in the past make comments before a game that given the chance they would 'T up or eject' a player or coach. I have never thought that a wise choice of words if in fact the situation arose and the player/coach was indeed ejected. Again, I was not at this game, don't know who the officials were and if this was an issue. Just saying that I have talked to enough officials who have it in the back of their mind regarding certain players/coaches from past experiences, situations they have heard about, or personal feelings.

 

On another note, congrats to Clay on a big win. This is a huge confidence builder for the Tigers going forward towards the regional tournament.

Ely did the right thing. I know for a FACT he asked coach Wright to set down at least four times before giving him his second technical. And Ely didn't give his first technical it was another ref.

Disagree with that statement, sounds to me like no matter who the official was Coach Wright was asking to be tossed or see just how far he could push the issue, guess he got his answer.

Exactly Breeze, he wanted to be tossed. It didn't make a difference which official it was or what the call was, it was obvious he wanted just what he got.

I would not think that calling out officials like that would have a positive effect at any level.
