They need to get some support for Penny. They will be tough but I thikn the guard position will be their biggest concern in my opinion. As long as Penny stays healthy, they are top 3 in the region.

I watched Gallatin play 6 times.

Gallatin will have a rough start because they lost there 2 best player and a quality role player. I am sorry, but no team in this region I believe could lose Edmonson and Perkins and be better than they were the year before. Not to mention Davis was the strongest player that GC had. They will have there struggles, but they will be tough again. I dont know much about SO but HC lost 6 seniors and Joey Pollard re-tore his ACL this summer. He will be out for a while as well. They will be decent, but I would expect them an Owen to have a run for 2nd.

I heard something about the reasoning for letting him go was the Billy Donovan has excepted the Bryan Station job. This comes from a very credible source. In all seriousness though, when my team played again BS they were very classy while handing it to us every time. They have a great team coming back and unless Ligon has messed up something there is absolutely no reason for him to be fired.

Yes he was, but from what I have heard he will not be the Admirals head coach.

I dont thikn they can run it up on Oldham. They are a good enough team to not be completely blown out of the game, ubt they ar def. not good enough to win the game. Its a good thing they have Forrest on the sidelines tihs year.

I dont think they will pound OC because of the defense. They play great defense and thats what won the game for them tonight.

Henry is just as close to Carroll and is REALLY close to Owen COunty. Owen and Trimble border HC, so why wouldnt they be in the 31st??? Just my opinion though. I dont tihnk SK should be in our region but I am guessing things will never be perfect. I like SK in our region though, just because I like watching their team play.

Guys, OC still has the best coach in the region in Mr. Gary Forrest. Don't put anytihng past him. I cant se it being a blowout, but maybe a 2-3 point game either way. Iunno who is going to win, but I will pull for SK because I like the guy from SK that sits in front of me. Good guy

No he is not, and he looked good today, REALLY good!!! Matter of fact, Simon Kenton looked pretty darn good themselves. They won by 20 I thikn, not sure the exact final though. They looked tough. Hester missed a layup early in the game and came up limping but it didnt seem to bother him much after that. Also, #23 of SK had a good game. He had 4 threes at the end of the game. I look for Simon Kenton to win against Oldham tomorrow night, but it should be a good one!

You beat me to it. Jon is a great coach and has done unbeleivable things at Gallatin, a very small school. If you consider them Northern KY, then you will have to consider Jon Jones as one of the best coaches in the NKY region.

GC plays pretty well in The horseshoe, I say they win by 2 over the MIGHTY Shelby.

Yes, HC mascot got thrown out, but some crazy person from GC did as well. Herny was shooting a techinical foul when somebody ran across the court like a lunatic. Well, both crowds were a little rowdy and I agree with the booing. I just think they were upset with the loss. I am just glad the players were classy, I think it shows alot about the coaches. It seems to me that both teams seem to respect each other even though the games are always very physical. At the end of the game Henry Co. prayed with Gallatin and congratulated them on their victory and wished them the best of luck in the regionals. On a side note though, I thought the game was very energizing and I think Henry matches up with Gallatin and plays them as good as anyone does. Good luck to both teams in the Regionals. My ideal matchup would be a HC v. GC rematch in the championship.

Congrats Harrison on your championship. We (Henry Co.) scrimmaged you all in October and it seemed to me like you all were going to be a pretty good ball club. Good luck in the 10th region tourney.

Maddox is a heck of a ball player as well. I think Perkins is there best all around player, Brown there best set shooter, Edmonson is probably their best off the dribble player, and Giles is there best defender. Maddox IMO cuts better than anyone on their team. This is coming from a HC fan, so don't think all HC faithful hates GC, because we dont.

Nope, I am from HC and I would like to see the 31st represented well. You all can say what you want, but the HC players stayed out as a team and clapped for GC when they went to get there first place trophey. As hard as it was they did it. I thikn it is a big rivalry on the court, but that is just because they both want to win the game. In the end, I thought Henry Co. players were very classy in the way they handled the defeat.

what the heck Henry Oldham SK Gallatin Henry Gallatin Henry One of HC's players, I don't really know, just pulling for the 31st.

I feel like Henry could matchup with Oldham as good as anyone. When Henry plays together they are a pretty tough team to beat. Then again, Anderson is a pretty tough team to beat as well. I look for the 2nd round game between Anderson/Henry v. Oldham (if they beat WV) to be a barnburner. Personally, I would like to see a 31st district rematch for the regional, though that would be a tough game to achieve. Dont overlook any team in tis tourney. There is alot of parody in the 8th region this year.

Edmonson is a good ball player, but is shot selection is still a bit iffy. i think the best player on gallatin is Perkins. perkins is a heck of a ball player and he seemed to be the leader on their team.

I think that when he is a senior this Anderson team wil be VERY dangerous. they consist of mostly freshmen and sophomore starters. they will be dangerous in a few years.

yes it is nice to play the districts on the same court as the region

henry hands down there is no way gc could beat henry by 15. henry had about 30 turnovers at gc and still only lost by one. if the refs call the game like they are supposed to it will be a knock down drag out but in the end i think henry will come out on top. the team that plays the game with all 5 players will win. gallatin has very nice team chemistry except for one player. one player cannot beat 5:argue:

Henry is looking to win the 31st. The loser of this plays SC,SK or OC. The winner plays SO, AC or GC in the 1st game of the region.

Henry was looking ahead a little but got the w. They have beaten CC 3 times this year now. They are looking to defeat GC and win the 31st district, for the 1st time in 35 years. :flame:
