True blue (and gold) Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Final, per Buttels webcast page. The Panthers must have really laid it all on the line. If anyone has any other details, fill us in.
captain Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Supprising score. Good for Henry Co. tough for CC. Great job to both and good luck !
Lunatic1 Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 CC great effort, keep your heads up you have good years ahead. Congratulations Henry County and good luck at Regionals. CC Seniors, we will miss you! Good Luck!
True blue (and gold) Posted March 1, 2007 Author Posted March 1, 2007 One of my sources that went to the game told me that free throws made the difference. Evidently neither teams shot them well. Carroll missed 8 in the 4th quarter.
funtowatch Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Got with-in 2 a couple of times, but just couldn't get it done. Good effort for both teams. Carroll came to play and made Henry play a little harder than (I think) they thought they would.
04sportsfan05 Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 good post funtowatch. I am pretty sure the kids from HC were looking ahead a little farther than they sohuld have. Carroll played with real heart, and Roberts had a great game for CC. I am looking forward to a good game between HC and GC Saturday, these 2 always seem to play each other good.
GatorFan Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Very impressed with the Panthers play.... If Roberts had any help on the offensive end maybe it would have been a different out come...
Mack The Knife Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 This game lasted longer than "Ben-Hur" with all of the fouls called. In contrast only 7 fouls were whistled in the 1st half of the nightcap. I have always said playing at home isn't all it's cracked up to be come tournament time. Just a lot of distractions and maybe a false sense of security. To me homecourt advantage is not the facility itself, but the crowd noise. And everybody has fans in the postseason.

04sportsfan05 Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Henry was looking ahead a little but got the w. They have beaten CC 3 times this year now. They are looking to defeat GC and win the 31st district, for the 1st time in 35 years. :flame:
