Minnifield walked, but still one heck of a dunk

I hate to see any of the three go. All three teams are pretty good. I think the 31st really suprised some people this year, with most people thinking only Gallatin would be any good from the 31st. It seems to me like this will be a district tourney for the ages. After this year I think the tourney will be a little bit more one sided.

I have seen both Neeley and Jacobs play, and I must say, IMO Neeley is a better player. 90% of his passes seem like they hit the player he is passin to in the face or they bobble it bc they are not ready. I know that isnt saying much but Neeley is the best bball player in the 8th. I am biased to the 8th a little, so dont take my post as an insult or anything, but he is a baller.

Good question, we will find out tuesday i guess.

the win against Henry was at walton. There was a scheduling mix up to were they had to switch the games this year.

Henry has now beaten North Bullitt by 21 (70-49) and South Oldham by 6 in their last 2 games. This is the biggest win for an HC team in quite a while.

U could call it that. Henry County is a really good ball team not getting the respect they deserve. They may have just earned it.

Since the Wildcats were already 5 or 6 and 2 before having Nate, I would say they would have won some games. They still have alot of talent. As for Owen...I think that is a different story. Neeley is their team. He passes, shoots, everything. They wouldve still won some, but i think they would have been bottom of the 31st.

I dont think they are completely out of it. they are still the most talented team in the 9th. They are just not playing up to potential and there is no credit that should be given to them. Even without DJ they should have been excelling more than they have. I just see another Bulldog meltdown coming this February, thats it. But I will give it a few weeks to find out the rest of the story.

fballstud06, you have to give credit where credit is due. They are supposed to be the BEST the 9th has to offer, or at least that is what I have heard for the past year. They are good, and yes they are missing one of there best, but there performance thus far has been subpar. Will DJ help them, yes, will he completely chenge this team around, no. They seemed to have this same problem last year when they had DJ. I dont know how the whole thing will work out, but at this point in time they are not playing up to potential and there isnt that much credit for them to be given. They have lost ot the majority of good teams they have played. This is JMO though.

What makes you say this??? I dont know when, if ever, Henry will get a little bit of respect from the region. They finally have a descent team, as does Gallatin, and they get no repect. No they aren't great, but they play well together.

I look for it to be a good game, I guess we will just have to wait and see how tihngs play out. IMO, these are the District 31 1 and 2 seeds. This game might just be the one both team need. If HC wins, I think they will have basically tied up 1st place.

Gallatin County should be the favorite in the 8th. MAYBE Walton could upset them, but I doubt it.

I think McCreary will win, but it is going to be a higher scoring game then that because from what i have see nof Lynn Camp, they dont really like defense. MC-77 LC-69

Campbell CO. looked really bad tonight at the HCIT. SOuth looked good, but Campbell didnt do much of anything. I know Campbell is a good team, so hopefully they will have a better outing next game. Souths 22 played a really good game.

Neely had 16 points and fouled out with about 2 minutes left in the game. Bryant of Henry County took the game over for Henry. He looked good. It was a pretty good game with alot of people at the game because of both teams having a positive year so far.

Final. Henry gains sole posession of the 31st district with this win. Hard faught game by both squads.

The kid can flat out play. PERIOD. He makes everyone on his team better. He is a great all around player and can shoot the ball lights out. He is making an Owen team who was supposed to be young and inexperienced this year to a district contender.

Did it ever occur to any of you all that Henry County may just be much improved??? They have a coach who works thier butts off in the offseason, they lost only one player who actually played last year, but yet they still get little credit. Gallatin is a very solid team this year, but IMO, from what I saw, Henry County has a really good defense this year. They are talented. I just think we should give HC some credit rather than talk about how stunned we are from the score. I guarentee the majority of you all havent even seen them play this year. I had to get that off of my chest. When it is all said an done, both teams should have very promising years and I think the districts should be pretty interesting.
