Gallatin successfully defends their 31st District title.:dancingpa

 

Henry led the whole way including 39-31 early in the 4th. Gallatin's first lead came with 3:33 remaining. David Henson's 2 FT with :44 left gave Gallatin a 49-48 lead. Henry had 2 chances to tie in the last 5 seconds but could not convert.

Tough win on Henrys home floor. Good win for GC I thought it would be by a larger margin

I am not sure, but this might possibly be the first time in Gallatin's history that they have won back to back district titles. Mack, can you confirm ?

Congratulations to Coach Jones, his staff, and players. I guess we will find out Gallatin's Region opponent tomorrow between Shelby Co., Walton-Verona, and South Oldham.

Back to the game. I noticed when Henry County point guard (#22)fouled out in the 4th quarter, they had a hard time handling pressure. David Henson stepped up and played well for Gallatin. Nate Edmonson and Trent Maddox hit big back to back 3's in the 4th quarter. As Henry County found out, it sure helps to have a deep bench. Not a good win but a great win for the Cats. Henry is the toughest match-up they have had this year, and Henry was about 9-1 on their floor since Christmas. Congrats Cats. Good luck to both teams in the region. Henry has a classic team.

I hope that you are from another district and you are just spouting off. Obviously, you either don't attend 8th region games or you are just a disgruntled Henry County fan.

 

From where I sit at the broadcast table, It's hard to paint a neutral picture of the game when the officiating is this horrible.

 

The atmosphere was electric. It always is between these two. It only takes a little bit for something to happen. It did two to three times Saturday night.
