2007/2008 Anderson Co

What does Anderson Co County need to do to improve in 2007/2008? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

They need to get some support for Penny. They will be tough but I thikn the guard position will be their biggest concern in my opinion. As long as Penny stays healthy, they are top 3 in the region.

Nothing against CJ or Anderson County...I am not so sure they would even be top ten in the 11th. Defin[tely not in the top five. The 11th is a tough, tough region.

Then there are a number of other teams that can take up the NEXT five. Anderson is in that mix.

I think Anderson will be a good team, just not as good as some other teams such as Oldham, SK, and Gallatin. Penny is a good ball player, but he is not good enough to carry them to a regional title.

Easy mistake to make Western Hills, Frankfort, and Franklin Co. are right next door and they are all stuck in the 11th.

 

Anderson has a good young post player in the Russell kid and some younger guards who are decent shooters. Drury's teams always play good defense so if they develop some ball handling I think they could make some noise in the 8th.

The Russell kid is tough. he can shoot the ball and post up. I tihnk there guards are one year away from being good. they are all going to be sophomores right?

I heard some news today that a transfer from a school in Louisville started school at Anderson County. He is 6'9" 275lbs. and plays football and basketball.

Wow, if true that sure will help them a lot. they graduated the tall kid they had last year. If this kid is good, which it sounds like he is, would that put Anderson as the favorite for the region?

I agree, I just didnt know if he was good enough to make them a favorite. Then again, they didnt really need too much to become the fav.
