What are your thoughts???

I think there will be some suprises in this district this year. With the coaching changes and loss of some key players this could be a real interesting year.But by far Gallatin should be close to the top as they lost few and had really good talent coming up.

IMO: Gallatin lost a lot in Perkins and Edmondson. I think it comes down to Oldham and SK to win the region.

Anderson has a few talented players returning as well.

Yeah and people better not overlook them.

Gallatin returns key players from last years team David Henson, Trent Maddox, Jarad Carlton, Josh Davis.

Anderson will never win another region title. Something happens to that coaching staff in big games.

I don't really understand this comment, but I have always thought that the coaches from Anderson always got the most out of what they had. They play the game the right way, day in and day out, Year in and year out. Kids don't play this way over the course of fifteen years without good fundamental coaching.

It just seems that Andersons schedule does not prepare them to win the region. What I am saying add a few tougher teams early and late in the year to see where you stand. There are good kids there. Just put them in some tough game situations so they will be prepared thats all. Allways loved going to Anderson when we played them. Though we won most of the time it was still a fun time. I think Coach Drury loved coaching against Coach Hicks. One of the better 8th region moments for me.

Anderson can ride the Penny train to the Regionals. I believe they can contend for the 8th Region.

gallatin also has brown, and jones returning... not saying there the favorite, but they will return to region and contend

I think the regional shakes out like this

 

29th - Oldham County & South Oldham

30th - Anderson & Shelby

31st - Gallatin & Henry

32nd - Simon & Grant

 

Same as last year, with the exception of Grant in the 32nd. Walton was blown up by graduation and I think that Grant just had a bad year. I look for Coach Kinmon to rebound the Braves this coming year.

Walton has blown up this year they will not return one big guy on the inside. The way the team sets up right now they look like they may be running a five guard offense.

Gallatin will probably start 3 seniors and 2 juniors who have played togrther forever it seems like. I don't understand why it would take until after the New Year for them to "jell".:confused:
