Too bad both schools will be missing anyone for this one. Should be a great game anyway. Average Joe---I wasn't implying that Hines was blameless, just saying from what I saw I do not see how the official which threw the flag could have heard anything as he was too far away. When the flag came out, I believe the assumption from everyone was a block in the back.

What warrents an unsportsmanlike flag for a player who was obviously hit hard from behind. I know he didn't throw any punches.:fight:

If both were ejected, how does one get to play and not the other? I'm not sure what happened at Pulaski....Winston was hit from behind and then the flag was thrown on him. We thought the call was on the other team. Why was the kid from Southwestern ejected?

It was reported in the paper today that Rockcastle Co. would have actually went to the state if the parent from Corbin had not butted in. IMO it should be up to the players to call out misplays on the course, not some parent. I've seen plenty of matches where players did not follow protocol but I would never have put my 2 cents worth in. If the players the kid was playing with didn't know the rules enough to question the play......well enough said.

Bylaw 5 section 2--the percentage is 25% of the districts graduation requirements. So if the district requires 24 and you earn 6 credits during the year you are repeating...you are eligible..even if you are not back with your graduating class.

There is a one time re-instatement clause that allows you to be eligible in the year following your ineligible year if you earn a certain % of the credits needed for graduation(even if it only makes you a sophomore when you should be a junior) during the year you are sitting out....you must continue to earn the required % each year to remain eligible...it is in the handbook. Obviously you can never get back the year you were repeating.

It should be up to the coaches as to who they put on their schedule. People should not be bullied into playing in someone's bowl game. Everyone keeps talking about the travel distance and how stupid it would be to drop out of the bowl, isn't it the same distance to Pulaski and Southwestern's field. This is not being pushed by the fans and or boosters and don't be suprised if many of them stay home next year to prove their point. Both county schools have been playing in the Correll Bowl, why can't they play the county schools at their place?

I do not think anyone expects the "Correll Bowl" to rotate. Sounds like Pulaski just wants to play Somerset at their place on an occasion. As far as driving across the road and picking up a big check--it appears SHS benefits from the fan base of the county. Sure SHS runs the show but I am sure they pay themselves well for their time before the money is split. Do they not make any money off the concessions? Maybe PC and SWHS boosters would like that opportunity as well. Face it, without the support from the county schools there would be no "Correll Bowl".

While Pulaski had a couple of season ending injuries as well as Muse being out. Mercer was the better team last night. Pulaski has a great bunch of kids who will continue to work hard. Hopefully, they will pull it together over the next couple of weeks.

We've heard that before....I would not be making any reservations quite yet as alot can happen in 6 years. Some of those kids your counting on may be back in the schools they were in 6 years ago.

I agree--everyone should have to play in the appropriate class.
