I presume Muse didn't play this game, nonetheless not the way the Maroon's planned on starting the season with such high expectations.

This loss hurts Pulaski because it's a district game. With tough games remaining against Lincoln, Southwestern and South Laurel, there's no guarantee this team makes the playoffs. What a disappointment that would be.

Mercer really got their offense on track in this one. After being shut out last week against Madison Central, the Titans get on the board in a big way. This score surprises me. Not that Mercer won, but by how much.

Mercer defense was impressive. Don't know total stats, but at the end of the 1st half Pulaski had 34 yards with 1 first down, according to the radio.

 

I think Mercer had 3 int's, 1 for a TD. Offense looked much better, but still has a ways to go. The defense kept the offense in very good position all night. A couple of nice punt returns by Ellis didn't hurt either.

Mercer's JV fumbled on the 1 yard line or it would have been worse with almost 3 minutes to play.

While Pulaski had a couple of season ending injuries as well as Muse being out. Mercer was the better team last night. Pulaski has a great bunch of kids who will continue to work hard. Hopefully, they will pull it together over the next couple of weeks.

Nice job by QB Tre Dunn! The more snaps he takes the better this young man is going to be. He has incredible potential, not to mention a cannon for an arm! I would think his performance last night should have decided who the Titans QB is.

Man, I knew PC would struggle without Muse. But this score surprises me. This is a hard district to get a feel for this year, some KEY injuries make it hard to figure out.

 

I remember a thread a few weeks ago talking about PC running the table, and at the time I don't think it was out of the question....

I agree with Maddog22, Dunn has put a end to the quarterback question. The reason Mercer's offense looked better was definately due to Dunn's smooth prescence,and the defence played well again,behind Tyler Horn who is a beast.

I understand that there were some key losses for PC but I don't think that they are as good as everybody was saying they were going to be. If you are a big school like PC you should have someone to come in a fill those shoes. I understand losing someone like Muse is a great loss but great teams overcome adversity.

I hope Pulaski can get healthy again. I believe that this score would have been a lot closer, if it hadn't been for all the injuries in their opener game against Rockcastle.

According to the paper, Pulaski had 149 total yards, with 110 coming in the 4th quarter.
