When Scott played GRC this year, GRC played all subs since they had already won the tournament. So, in fact you didn't see them play unless you were there for the Memorial Day Maraton that Monday morning. :ohbrother:

No way. The throw beat him to the plate. His only chance was a collision, and with his size, was a very good chance!:thumb: A very good game that I thought would never end. GRC had their chances and just couldn't come through.

I'd say its a push after seeing both teams, no more no less.

I think it was between 12-14 walks... Not a pretty game at all.

Pitching failed GRC in both games and that was a theme during the regular season. The two games this postseason have been completely different. Im telling you now, if GRC gets solid pitching they will be a tough out. :thumb:

Withrow went 6 innings and into the 7th. Peters came in and closed the door in the 7th. Rupard started for Bourbon and then went to Grimes? maybe, I know he was the short stop, and then went with Jacoby. GRC just outplayed them today. When their pitching is consistent, this team can be very good.

:lol: If you guys are having the same umpires as we at GRC are having, which I'm sure you are, then I do feel your pain!! Most of the bad ones we've had I haven't seen before, maybe they are new. There are still a few very consistent and good ones out there but their numbers are dwindling. :ohbrother:

The umpire behind the plate should not be allowed to ump another game the rest of the season. That being said, if GRC pitchers don't find their rhythm it won't matter how good they've been hitting the ball recently.

Umpires this year are by far the worst I have ever seen in quite some time. Some are truly pathetic and sad to see how bad they actually are.

Freshman, very first appearance in a varsity game. Tough way to start your career, against the #6 team in the state. GRC was flat out of pitching and has a district game this Tuesday. Bunch of players playing out of position in this one as well.

They sure missed abunch but in the end didn't affect the outcome, just delayed it for a very long time. I sure hope to never see those two umpires between the lines on a field that GRC plays on ever again.

Bourbon is good, but when a team has 14 or so walks this will be the end result...

I will be pulling for them no doubt about it, but Shelby Valley is tough. Congrats Royals :thumb:

Have they been the favorites all season? I agree they were the favorites heading into this year. Then Travis Pervis is out for the year. Then one injury, another injury, and then Corey Rogers out for the year but then returned for postseason play. Were they the favorties when Rogers was still out? I doubt it. They have gone through as much adversity as a high school team can go through, and they are still right there with a chance to win the region. Do they have the better talent? I think so, when completely healthy. But Mason is no slouch either. If they are going to win the region in the next three years, this is their chance. Mason Co has been playing pretty well together recently so I'd say the odds are 50-50 tomorrow night. Whoever wants it more will end up with the W. :thumb:

I would assume so, I was suprised they weren't there Saturday. They were at every girls region tournament game.

I actually think they are planning to take a pep bus, that is if 30 or more students sign up for it. :thumb:

He had 12 pts and 7 rbs in the District Championship against Montgomery Co.

The way I see it, Clark, Scott and Mason will each have to win atleast one tough game to make it to the Region finals. I don't see what the fuss is, I won't be losing sleep over this draw at all. :lol:

I think this years is better than the past few years IMO. Compared to every team GRC has played on the road, they have been better than everybody else except Ryle's section who was pretty good and creative. I agree that it could be a lot better numbers wise but they are still solid.
