I think you have to take the bracket into some consideration. No doubt all 7th region teams and Corbin out of the 13 have a legit shot at the championship. Whoever wins that first round game I see being in the State championship game. Anybody out of the lower bracket could come out of there as well. I would drop Shelby Valley to group C and have Mason in there as well but besides that looks good to me. :thumb:

I know this is a thread for worst student sections but you can leave GRC out of the discussion. GRC's student section has been very solid at almost every game, big numbers, very loud and always supportive of their team(as well as getting on the other team). They have been one of most solid that I've seen this year.

Most certainly, and I give props to the official for not swallowing his whistle in the final seconds like most refs would have done. Fieldhouse.... Middleton got his flop in on a three as well so you can't go there. And for those fans that think it was a bad call, ok if you want to go with that then it shouldnt have came to it. The play before that could have easily been called a charge on Middleton driving to the basket, instead it was a block and 2 free throws. Both teams got favorable calls late in the game.

Yes. From what I was told it was 6 weeks and that was a week ago. I could be wrong though...

When completely healthy(haven't been one game this year, don't forget about Pervis injury) they would be legit top 10 and maybe higher. It's too bad we probably won't get to find that out this year. With the team they still have, they are more than dangerous.

GRC vs. Scott @ Scott at 7 on Saturday is what I've been told. :thumb:

Woulda, coulda, shoulda.... Clark has beaten Trinity and Hazard by 20 who were either ranked Top 10 or 15 at the time. Of their three losses, each were within 3 points at halftime and went on to have a letdown in the 3rd quarters. The other was Mad Central who we lost to by like 4 without Stenzel and they just beat a top 5 team the other day. stated earlier, GRC has yet to be completely healthy but they are getting there. If you want to compare scores, then how about Masons win over Harrison by 8 and GRCs by 23. I don't think thats an adequate way to judge teams though. On paper, GRC has the talent edge. We won't know for sure till they play. :thumb:

Not true. GRC had 2 of the top 3 guards on the floor last night, no question about it.

Based on what? GRC's only losses(although big) are to Scott Co. and Lexington Catholic. Madison Central was without Stenzel so you can nix that one. Has Franklin Co. beat a Trinity or a Hazard? I'm really asking because I don't know. I know they beat Mason in the final seconds but that's all I've heard and they aren't what they usually are.

Corbin is a very solid team, a team that will be in Rupp come March, but they are not a top 10 team. Top 20 easily though. I think people are taking these scrimmages too seriously. If you honestly believe any team is better than GRC by 41 points then your mistaken. It was a horrible scrimmage, they couldn't get anything going on offense. They were missing wide open 3 after 3 and that affected their defense. It will take time for this team to mesh and figure each other out. But when they do, watch out. Corbin also shot the ball very well so that had something to do with it. With the football players getting back into the swing of things, GRC will hit their stride around Christmas and be more than ready come post season. :thumb:

Why?

There is no way you stood by Pervis as recently as October and thought him to be 6'4 unless you mistake him for somebody else. He is legit 6'7, at worst 6'6. And yes Christian is from Powell Co.
