I don't think how matters. It is a loss to the program, the kids and to the other coaches. When a person gives of himself and touches as many lives as this coach did, it is sad to see him go.

So if its math and Highlands beats Ryle and Ryle beats NCC, then NCC is ahead of Ryle because???????

I don't know about best but Ryle returns 4 starters from last year. The fifth starter is a kid named VanName from Florida who looked very good at CCH. I know the duce was pleased with the job they did last year.

Kevin is a grad of Covington Latin.

Coach U is a class guy and he will be greatly missed. Owen Co still has their geography problem. As one of the largest counties in the state (top 10 I think) It is a long was to and from school. Younger kids don't drive and need a ride. Last I heard the are just over 10,000 people in the county and come August there is a lot of tobacco to be cut and housed. That keeps kids off of the practice field.

Yancy has potential at QB. He is Smart and will only be a junior and got most of the playing time but........... He needs better protection. He really got beat up at times this past season.

I was there and not a fan of either team. Man did it snow hard. At times it was really hard to see the lines on the field. It was cold enough that the spit would have frozen on contact! I know the fans I saw from both schools around me were well behaved.

Just my theory but, I've got to think the system needs to be tweeked when there are 0-10 teams ahead of teams with 3 or 4 wins. I don't care who you beat or what class you're in, if you win no games you get to be behind teams that have wins.

1. Congrats T, you were most impressive. 2. Is Nick Petrino just amazing when he deecides to tuck the ball and run? 3. Ryle was amazing this year in how they elevated their program. This team had never even been to a 3rd round game before. 4. What was the T staff trying to prove calling a flea flicker early in the fourth quarter? It seemed a bit like they where rubbing Ryle's nose in the dirt at that point. 5. Every program needs to look at how T approaches a season and follow their example. They are the standard.

They had to settle for field goals twice after having 1st and goal. The defense was really good but HD was able to capitalize.

Good thing that slacker Vince Murray didn't make it on offense. LOL Henderson did hold him under 200 yards rushing. (193)

I thought it was interesting they only dressed 37 players. Henderson County is the 2nd largest school in the state. Heck they had more cheerleaders tonight. (42 I think) Are things that bad there?

I believe that McKinley plays at Fawcett Stadium. While it is their "home field" it is owned by another entity and is also the home field of Walsh College and Malone College. (It does seat well over 20,000.) I would also say Ohio makes some dumb decisions like in the past sending Cincinnati teams to play in Dayton. I think KY needs to do our own thing and not worry what other states do.

Tom Stellman is a great guy. He will be missed.

What has the weather done to the field this week? Who does it help/hurt?

Last week (the days it rained) there was a tarp on the field from the numbers in and goal line to goal line. Anyone know if it is tarped now?

I think people are still not seeing how good Murray is. 32 more carries for 158 yards. 4 of the penalties were on one player. I don't think the Ryle staff will let that carry on to next week. Also the time of possession was 31:30 to 16:30 in favor of Ryle. Man do they like to run the ball!!!

The assist was the most amazing cross into the box. It could not have been more perfect.

How about Carr Creek and Brooksville. No info but both won basketball titles.

I could not believe how good the field looked! I was also surprised that Dixie only had 5 yards offense in the 3rd quarter. They really need to be able to move the ball with or without Bricking.
