Kinda surprised by this. I know that games with out of state foes do not count in the Lit rating. I think Trinity, having won 5 out of the last 6 championships is the No. 1 team until someone in KY can beat them. One can come up with all kinds of statistics, but the one that counts is the one at the end of the season. The Rocks have a pretty strong record in that department. Seems that the Rock supporters should lobby Jody to reconsider this first LIT rating..... Seems as if the wrong button was pushed or the wrong data was input.......

Correct me if I am wrong but LIT ratings are a math formula and not a poll. I feel everyone would still put T ahead of us unless we beat them in 2 weeks.

Go Tigers

Thanks for the link, "The Scribe".

Lone Oak in the Lit's Top Twenty?

Craziness!

Unfortunately, if I read an earlier post about the AP Poll correctly, St.X was voted #1 over Trinity 12 votes to 6. As if the Rocks needed additional motivation.

^^ Yes I understand that the LIT rating is a mathmatical formulation. Thats why I said that maybe some info was input incorrectly  ...... j/k

I've always said the Litratings favor teams who post a lot of blowouts against low-level competition. This is just another example of it ...

Not disputing that, but how would you explain CCH ahead of Johnson Central?

So if its math and Highlands beats Ryle and Ryle beats NCC, then NCC is ahead of Ryle because???????

Maybe it needs a few more weeks to get the bugs out of the system.

Raceland beat Fairview, but Fairview is ranked higher....go figure....

Exactly, makes no sense out all. There are at least 3 to 4 other teams that should be ahead of CCH.

Well, that's Guru's favorite "Magic Number" showing up in the process ... it takes several weeks, it seems, to factor it out completely.

Lit isn't as reliable as Cantrall or Massey, anyway, even late in the year.

Raceland lost to East Carter, which was shut out by Fairview ... that's one factor going the other way.

Massey still has the Tigers as underdogs in the 9/28 game. It's calling for a 22-23 loss for the Tigers. Of course, this will change next week, but it's interesting to see that although the Tigers are ranked higher, they're still the underdogs at a neutral site.
