If you read thru the transfer papers, the recieving school does not even have to send any paperwork to the sending school since the student did not participate in any V sports. It's a matter of filling out the one page by the recieving school and sending it in to the KHSAA, done deal, over!

What about Shumate at Beechwood? He did a great job this yr! He is young and in no hurry to go anywhere w/a young family at home!

This is a shock to me. Two long time Catholic boys leaving the Catholic school system. WV must be loaded coming up for these two to leave HC unless they gave them million dollar contracts. I do know one thing, the parents will not rule the game of basketball any more. These two men will not tolerate anything like what has been sd has been going on. Congrats to WV for getting these two great coaches. One thing is for sure, you will find out just how good your girls are because if they can play, these two will bring it out in them. They better be ready to work and I mean work HARD! Why would the Boone Co School system, who basically ran this coach out of Conner, turn around and hire the same person at a different school. I personally can not see this happening.

So as a coach, I make a couple parents mad, I could lose my job? This doesn't sound like a good place to be if a coach has to bend over and do a lot of kissing! It is one thing to be an interested parent and another thing to be a loud mouth parent/fan! I think there is alot more to this coach losing her job than what all the BGP experts know. Maybe I will apply, I know the Supt/AD, I might have a shot at it.:thumb:

All these H.S. pitchers should be on a pitch count regardless of what time of the season it is!

I am sitting here reading this and it's like listening to a group of teenage girls! What does any of your conversation have to do w/best player at each position? How about exchanging phone #'s w/each other, it would be easier.

Who is the principal? Did one of the asst. from BCHS get the job?

Anything the schools have done over a certain amt of money have to be bid on! You all should listen to quickslick. My money is on him as far as knowing what he is talking about! I would guess his numbers are right on the money:thumb:

Do you know something the rest of us don't know? Mike Wolfe would be a great head coach. I am assuming Cooper will also be a 6A school!

Agreed, as the same could be said of Beechwood's team but they all proved themselves at the V level. We will get an idea where these teams are very early in the season, Apr 4th! Although as you well know, the early season means nothing to either team, just some bragging rights maybe.:ylsuper:

Doesn't Coach Fields, former Beechwood coach, live in Bracken Co? Don't know anything about the before mentioned coach but she has a lot of experience.

My question would be, what does this have to do w/this yr? This all happened last yr. I don't remember everyone picking BHS to win last yr due to them making it to the finals the yr before. Ryle will be playing w/almost a whole new team of JV players from last yr. They will be very good as will BHS/CCH! If experience wins games, BHS would be my pick. Each team must hit and play defense and get some pitching.

Don't know exactly how it all works but I do know if one gets something they all get something. Up until this, all the fields are basically the same. Once BC got renovated so did Conner. As for BC's gym, well, Conner had a very nice addition added on a yr ago. Ryle does not need any renovation due to how new it is, I guess. The word on the street was Alexander was footing the entire bill for a turf field at BC but was told if one got it they all had to get it and he was not willing to pay the entire bill for the other two schools, that is what I was told. Now, Ryle gets a great donation and they are putting in fieldturf. Just doesn't sound right after BC was told NO, at least w/the info I heard. Obviously, there are two differnt stories circulating regarding what exactly Alexander was willing to do. Maybe one day the truth will come out. All schools should have fieldturf. When will the schools start getting fieldturf on their baseball fields? That is the field that needs it the most since they suffer from the rainy season?

DI is a very broad statement. We all hope our kids and kids from the area play DI but sometimes we have to face the facts and take a reality check. All great high school players can not play DI. Two of the best guards I have seen in recent yrs were Erika Hallman and Katie Schweggman, both Miss Basketball winners. Erika, of course, went on to Kansas and had a great career and Katie was plagued w/injury at Miami and actually transferred to Mt St Joe to pursue a Physical Therapy career. So, I compare guards to these two great players when talking about playing DI and I haven't seen any guards in NKY w/their talent. There are some good guards around but to say DI, only time will tell. Remember, DI has a large pool of schools w/differnt levels of play but, hey, they are still DI. If I could suggest just ONE thing to H.S. athletes that want to play at the next level, any college level, it would be GET STRONGER! College athletics is a whole new world and strength is a big part of it.

I hope your'e right! If they get past Henderson(#18) they will have to deal w/E'town(#3) in the second rnd and then Franklin Simpson(#10) or Mont Co(#6)/Henry Clay(#15). Pretty tall order for the Cougars

Don't know about Jordan but Stephanie Hodges #11 has committed to NKU from what I was told tonight. Can a Conner fan verify that? I did see Coach Winstel give her a big hug afterwards. One scorer from the outside! Inside, it did not seem like anyone was guarding Molly Johnson at times. As many shots as #22 dropped in last night she had nothing fall for her tonight. Conner will have trouble playing against a team w/a big girl inside, IMO. Great, hard fought game by both teams. Good luck Cougars next week.:banana:

Teiple, Daniels and Maniello at Beechwood to name a few. It takes more than a few to win a state championship so I will say the entire team!

As far as I know, Gohs is playing. He can hit the ball a ton and I would think he could help a college team, built perfect for a 3rd/1st baseman. Who says an athlete can't be an athlete and a scholar at the same time. Sorry to Mr Bertke for mispelling his last name. He is a nice player.

1B-Morris 2B-Williams SS-Larimore 3B-Gohs ***Burke, utiliy player, 2/3B depending on who is pitching LF-Slusher CF-Elliott RF-Colosimo C--Miller Alot of inter-changeable players w/this team depending on who is pitching. Should be a great yr for the Tigers. If they can play some "D" they will most definetly score some runs.

Finally, someone who knows what they are talking about. Ludlow has two girls that can match up w/Katie, at least in size.:thumb:
