Bracken County Coach for 08-09?

Featured Replies

Anyone know at this point if Coach Schulz will be back at the helm next season or will Coach Kelsch be given a full season shot or will the position be open for hire? Thought the athletic director made a good decision when she hired the Boys Coach(Fite), that would have been a good decision for girls coach as well, since he did that at Lewis County. Anyone know any names in the mix at this point?

Kelsch needs to be the next coach. He does a great job and its the right thing to do.

Coach Kelsch should be the Head Coach at Bracken County, no doubt about that! He should have been given the job when Coach Schultz got it a couple of seasons ago, he was and is more deserving.

When did this position come open?

I do not know the status of Coach Schultz but if the job became open Patrick Kelsch would be the right choice. Besides with all of the famous people that he knows with the pictures on his avatars, He would come with very good references!!!!!!!!!!:laugh::laugh:

Coach Schultz will be back after taking a leave of absence due to personal and family health issues. Best of Luck to The Bracken County Lady Bears and Coach Schultz in the 2008-09 season.........

If i am not mistaken he did Interview for the position........ Just like he did for the Nicholas County position last year.....

It would be interesting to know as I was told he was not even offered an interview.

Good to here everything is going better for Coach Schultz and she will be able to return to the fold next year.

Coach Kelsch is as good as they come not only in a person but also as a coach he will have a Head Position when he wants and when its right for his family he did a great job in fillling in for Coach Schultz, She will return next year and hopefully Kelsch will as well unless there becomes a position available that he is interested in. Im am sure his name will be tossed around if any come open.

Thanks for filling me in. Didn't really know what Coach S plans were after the way this season ended. Glad she is doing ok and will return next season. Coach K will have his hands full with JV because an assuming most of last season's JV will be varsity this coming season. Will probably have a lot of 7th and 8th graders.

Its amazing this is even a thread. What has she done to warrant not coming back. Besides organizing a summer program, getting the girls to camps, and working her tail off both in the gym, working with the girls and their skills and out of the gym, funraising every chance she gets. She has started to return this program to where it once was, and to not allow her to continue would be taking steps back in the wrong direction.

I would probable disagree with some of these statements about Coach Schultz! Great player in HAS and college, done a decent job as a HC, but she has help along the way w/all she has been doing w/these girls that is for sure.

Yes, Coach Kelsch interviewed for the Bracken job, but that was never going to any other coach once Coach Schultz applied for the job, it was open and shut at that point. She was getting the job and would become the first female HC at Bracken Co.

He was a finalist for the NCHS job as far as I knew.

This is no slight towards Molly Schultz, I just think Patrick Kelsch would do a better job being the HC at Bracken Co. I hope Molly nothing but the very best!

Are you sure about that What about Coach Millie Rule ?? And also Janet Macintire and her Assistant who had a shared head coaching job with her in the 80's If this is correct she would be the Third Female head coach. Just wondering if this is correct. At any cost dosen't look like Bracken County has had very many Female coaches. Wonder why..........?
