Nothing yet! They have not even hired a football or soccer coach and their season starts before the school year begins.

 

The principal has a reputation for not being supportive of athletics. At least thats what I have heard from ones who know him.

Sounds like a great job. Principal that's not real supportive of sports and you get to be in Ryle, Conner and Boones district.

Who is the principal? Did one of the asst. from BCHS get the job?

The Ryle Principal that prematurely passed away last year.

I'm curious to know if/how Ryle, Boone, and Conner will be impacted by the re-districting. Conner is losing 650+, Ryle 150+, and Boone 50+ students to Cooper. Anyone have a clue?

I have heard the same for quite some time. Personally I think they should do a thorough search for a coach but for some reason she seems to have been the frontrunner from day 1.

From what I understand about the hiring at Cooper, is that they are hiring for all the teaching positions first. Since Conner is rumored to be losing double digit teaching positions, those teachers along with others in the district get first shot at transferring to the new school. After all the transfers are sorted out they will look outside of the Boone school system to fill the remaining positions. Then only after all the teaching spots are accounted for and filled will the begin to hire coaches. Simply put they will hire only teachers first then look for coaches from those teachers.

 

At least this how I understand it to be done from what I have been told. So, I could be wrong.

Why would the Boone Co School system, who basically ran this coach out of Conner, turn around and hire the same person at a different school. I personally can not see this happening.

I heard she is not interested in being a head coach again. She was certainly ran out of Conner, but I'm not sure it was by the Boone Co School system.
