Madman, from your other post it is ok for Coach West to coach a girls team at Grant County, but a joke for Coach Cravens to coach a boys team at Pendleton County??? A coach is a coach no matter male or female players and it is about time a coach from the girls side crossed over because for years we have had to accept boys coaches crossing over to coach our daughters.

Looking at the record, your persistent negative comments towards Campbell County are getting old and I'm not even a Lady Camels supporter!!

How did the administration not support them? Also I don't think you can lay blame on Asst. coaches as they do what is directed by the head coach. No matter what one thinks of the former coach they were an extremely talented group and fun to watch play from the stands, but not the opposing bench!

Do you think they realized their HIGH hopes?

I wish Walton the best of luck! I hope the new coach is very successful, but if I was him I would cancel my internet service and invest in ear plugs! I think the only way fans are going to be happy is if the team ends up in Bowling Green, but even then who knows.

Who is the favorite? That way other applicants can just step aside and save themselves time instead of applying for a job that is already filled?

I wonder if the coaching names mentioned would not be scared away after reading some of the comments being made? Why do you think the one most desired will not get the job?

Highlands may be the most dangerous team in the 9th right now. I agree their strength of schedule could pay off district and regional time.

I talk to coaches from the 8th, 9th, and 10th and the All A is a big deal to them and their respective schools. The question that comes to my mind is why and how are the Parochial so much stronger than the Public A schools in the 9th?

I am quite surprised at this score, too. I thought the game would be much closer especially if both teams had such important players missing.

I don't attend a lot of the volleyball games, but I do attend basketball games and Coach Cravens is a fine coach. I don't believe you should be comparing the performance of two different sports when deciding on getting rid of or retaining a coach. Coach Cravens is put into the most undesirable of spots of playing the best of the 9th and the best of the 10th almost nightly. Him and his staff always have the team prepared to be competitive and ready to play. If, which it seems, you have a personal problem with Coach Cravens don't come on here whining about it.

I have watched Coach Collins from Pendelton a few times and you can tell he really enjoys coaching and teaching his players about the game.

I thought there was also supposed to be a Freshman and JV game tonight? How did the Lady Camels do in these 2 matchups with Pendelton County? I heard that either the Lady Camels Freshman or JV was still undefeated.

Do coaches stress taking a charge on the girls side enough? I have seen some coaches tell players to take the charge and others never mention it at all.

9th region basketball is always exciting!! I'm ready to get the season started and visit some gyms and eat a little popcorn.

I believe from reading this thread St. Pat and Nicholas both have new coaches this season. Any update on how things are going?

I think the Lady Camels will be down a little this season and with their schedule split between 9th region and 10th region schools they will not have many easy games. I'm sure Coach Cravens and his staff will have them prepared to compete.

I heard today that this job is open; anybody know any info?

You are correct SirMixAlot, Scott did beat Campbell to go to the region by 3, but they also lost to Campbell by 10 during the season... pretty much makes it a toss-up. Brossart beat Scott by more than 15 two times last year and yes Brossart lost a lot to graduation, but based on Brossart simply reloading every year, until Scott can beats Brossart on the court this season they stay just out of the top ten for me. I will say Scott does have the players coming back this season to make it exciting in the 37th district and I expect to see some hard fought games.
