PSW has graduated alot from last years very good team, and Boyle has improved IMO ten fold since the Central scrimmage. I think comparing games can be used, but a scrimmage...... Boyle is improving almost quarter by quarter that they play and that is all you can ask for in a team.

I think Boyle came together as a team against Henry Clay, and i will look for a spirited effort against Danville, the whole game. This game means alot to both teams but, i think that Boyle is in better shape, and their offense is extremely explosive. The only question is if Boyle can stop the Ads on third down, if they can i look for Boyle to win handily. Should be a hell of a game BC-45 Dville-28

Wow, what a great game. Boyle finally seemed to pull it together in the 4th quarter and showed flashes of a really good football team. I've never seen a game end with more up and down moments, or a 5 minute break to change 1 second on a scoreboard. Wow, definitely a classic.

I think for Boyle it was Bryce Perry. People were/are calling for his removal, but that is just idiocy. Mason showed far less. He was very efficient and had 2 TDs to 1 Ints against a very good and fast Bowling Green defense. He moved the offense better than expected. If not him, then Ron Crutfield, he had over 100 yards receiving from the TE spot. Both had good games.

For real. If he was such a good recruiter, put that coach in Div 1, where his true merit will shine through. It seems shady, that a high school coach should act like a liason to big time schools for players just because of who he is.

I thank you for the good words, and i also agree. Some of Smith's most talented teams like the 96 team didnt win state. REMEMBER that the 99 team was supposed to be horrible because the only returning seniors were Greg Wilson, Brandon Clem, and Bobby Leffew. They had a sophomore QB in Jeff Duggins who wasnt near his potential when he won Mr. Football. That same 99 team with like 5 seniors won state for the FIRST time against a very good Glasgow team. 96 was always a sore spot with coach Smith, but Coach Smith brought the rest of the teams to realize that they had achieved nothing, except for the season they were about to play

I would totally agree, if it werent for the fact that one assistant has 2 infractions with the law and one of those such infractions was during state week, yet he is still on staff. But, Pardue is everything, everyone has made him out to be, a good role model, a excellent coach, and a hell of an OC. I think that Pardue has got these kids playing hard and together too

I havent heard of one person that actually wants Perry pulled. The question was asked because Mason came into the BG game in relief. I think that experiment quickly ended with those two INTs that he threw right to BG defenders. Plus, his one good comp. to Williams was badly underthrown. Bryce had a good game, and despite that hand-off he looked like he was in control. He moved the offense up and down the field, but he had some mental mistakes as well. I am not expecting Jeff Duggins, Bart Johnson, or Brandon Smith to trot out onto the field, so i was extremely pleased with his work (especially the 1st half). Its way too early to be doing these posts, but the coaches i guess made the question relevent by putting Mason in there. Oh, and what he said too, lay off the rebel fans. No one is expecting Papa Johns every year.

I think you are speaking prematurally. Pardue's team put up a spirited effort against Bowling Green last week and i think they will do the same again this week. They had three major mental mistakes, that all lead to BG points. Eliminate those mistakes and improve. Last years team regressed, but i think this years team is determined to get better. I do think the fans are spoiled but that statement makes it seem like people are happy to see that kind of turmoil.

Id have to disagree. Smith the leading rusher from 2002 quit going into his senior year, and he gets replaced, and everyone moves on. The players that didnt play wouldnt have made an impact because their impact would have been negated by someone who replaced them. There is numerous examples of people being replaced by less talented and less athletically gifted players but still getting the job done. Coach Smith won the 2003 state championship with 170 lb guards and 5-foot-7 running backs. I would just have to say that Smith gets everything out of his players, regardless of talent.

I think Boyle can rebound against a tough loss against Bowling Green. Boyle just has to eliminate the mental mistakes, play tougher on the lines, contain Boyd, and tackle that fast running back. Boyle 42 HC 28

The only objection i would have to make, is that an end around and especially that play, requires no penetration. The question is, on the goalline, with defensive linemen bear-crawling for penetration, do you run a complicated and delayed hand-off? I do agree that it was a gutsy call, and it could have worked, but the right time, probably not. I have watched alot of Boyle games and that play works effectively in space.

Jacob Tamme never ran that play. It is only ran by the tight ends, and Jacob never lined up at TE. Adam, his cousin, played tight end, and ran the play, and it did usually work. I do also feel much better than after the scrimmage

I know of plenty of people down in Bowling Green that will be watching Boyle for the first time, so i hope for my sake (they are tired of hearing about Boyle's hayday) that Boyle puts out a good showing. Should be a great game.

Boyle's freshmen look alright. They have one big kid Lamar? that looks like a beast compared to the rest of them. He might be the only of the bunch that could push for significant varsity time, just based on his size.

It should be Bryce Perry the starter from last year. Also, Jacob Smith a Junior converted WR from last year and Philip Mason a Junior also are in the mix. From what i hear Smith is pushing for Perry's job because of his athleticism, and Mason will more than likely be looking at mop-up duty this year.

I will be there. Should be an exciting pair of games.
