That is a very nice post sounds like you had a great father and its nice to look back now and see how your parents really were its unfortunate that we dont have alot of parents like yours only takes one to spoil the whole bunch. Im not sure he put in for the job when it was open , He is a very good young coach and has done well at cc , maybe someone can help me out here but i dont think he was contacted nor did he show interest in the bchs job.

WOW URIT you sure shook the bushes on this thread. I agree parents dont always understand the whole picture and i know some parents dont worry if the team wins or loses if there kid has played well and got there points i find this a little classless. Also about the pay URIT im sure you and your coaching staff get paid pretty well ? YEA RIGHT for the parents and fans out there who think a high school coach gets alot of money you are dead wrong most coaches work for about 50 cents an hour if you actually broke down the time they spend scouting, watching films, going to clinics, and all the stuff during the off season I commend any individual who coaches high school athletics most if not all do it for the LOVE of the game not the $$$$$ if that were the case there would be no coaches for any sport.

I would like to see Augusta pull this out but i think it will be just too much Dumpford down the stretch. Augusta seems to struggle when the opponent has a very agressive, athletic BIG man I will have to take Paris 62-56.

Bracken by 8 in the Seniors last game at the Igloo sure will miss watching this bunch of Young men play J-hall and t-Ham will be missed next year i really think the Point guard position is the one that will really be a task to fill for next near.

They honored the Girls that played basketball in the 1970's They told a little bit about each season and annonced the players and coaches. I was very dissapointed in the turn out of past players and coaches I think there were only 4-5 of them there and I know that several of them still come to the functions at BCHS but why not this one when they are being honored???????? As far as i know it was put in the paper and each individual was contacted personaly and they also had a reception for them afterwards. Mel Thornsbury did a very nice job and put alot of time and effort into doing this sure would have been nice to see alot more support!!!! Nice Job Mel I thought you did a nice job...

If they both play in a Double Header i think they should do both teams in between the games on account of the crowd let both teams seniors get the recognition they deserve and let the community as a whole congratulate them this will not happen by splitting them up some things are ment to be done together as a TEAM This being one of them . Congratulations to all the seniors from Mason Co. and Good Luck in which ever path you choose!

Sounds like they refs had a quick whistle for both coaches not the first time this year for a Bracken Team that the Refs Blew a Quick Whistle at least neither got Two i have seen that this year. IMO Coaches get into the game and they are going to argue some calls. Both of these coaches are very vocal and coach as if they were in the game themselves I enjoy watching them both on the sidelines. Nice win for St. Pat sounds like it was another good game for both teams.

I wouldn't be so sure of that my guess is that he will have his own program someday and will be very sucessful. You must not know him or his ability very well your the only one in here throwing disrespect towards him!

Nice win for the Lady Indians looks like they are getting tuned up at the right time. I have to think they are the favorites to win the 10th region again. I dont think anyone will beat them in the regionJMO

I agree with this list of seasoned Coaches. There are also alot of young coaches in the 10th and someday maybe they will also be a good group of Coaches with alot of sucess 10th region has alot of talented teams and some real good coaches leading them.

Ill take Bracken Co by 18 if they show up and are all ready to play. But if they struggle shooting and are not ready to play this game will be alot closer then it should be. Good Luck Lady Bears!
