Details???

This game was in OT

Tough loss for the Panthers hope they get things turned around and win 2 of the next 3 before District. Good Luck to Coach Kelsch and the Boys from A-Town.

Augusta trailed the whole game until late in the 4th. I counted at least 22 turnovers. Thats what I have for details ???

Matt Groves Led Augusta with 17 points and about 10 rebounds

Dustin Staggs and Jeremy Hardymon with 15

J. White 8, S. White 4, B Hamilton 2, S. Cummins 2

Jv game also won by Newport 47-44

Chris Mofford led Augusta with 15

B. Hamilton 8, J. Gray 7, S. White 5, T. Krebs 4, R. Kelsch 3, J. Crouch 2

Turnovers were the problem in this game also I counted about 16

This game was closer than I expected. Newport has always been a tough place to play for the Panthers. Another tough road test tomorrow, weather permitting. The remaining schedule should get the Orange and Black ready for Districts.

Big win for my Wildcats on Senior Night. They will surely be missed the this years seniors include JJ Hesch, Josh Tolson, Ozzy McIntosh, and Justin Jones. I believe McIntosh led the Wildcats in scoring with a career high 33 points. Tolson added 12 with Jones contributing 16 points.
