Being a good middle school coach does not translate to being a good high school coach. It's a bit easier to be successful at the middle school level when you have players who are hold backs and the such. Many programs around the area have very good middle school teams but they don't always transfer over to good high school teams. I wish NL good luck in finding a new Coach for their fine school.

Daddy Cat, apparently all the mountain teams are gonna have to earn that respect on the field. That is just the way it is in Kentucky football...and until a mountain team can take the big prize that is the way it is always gonna be.

I think Lynn Camp will keep this close and pull out the win at the end by Physically beating the Eagles. LC has a chip on their shoulder and is ready to take it out on someone.

I don't even know why us mountain teams even show up. Go ahead and let LCA and Raceland play for the region. Apparently the rest of down here in the SE are just wasting our time. :fight:

You're right Daddy Cat, hard to tell what a little 1A team is gonna have from year to year. Sometimes you think you're gonna be great and a couple of injuries here and there can kill ya. Other times you think there is not much in the cupboard and then wham, the kids get a little bit of passion and confidence and it's like an entirely different team.

Knox County people sure disagree with refs in football games alot.

I believe another poster on here said that Williamsburg tried to schedule last year and this year. I don't think Williamsburg has been in a down cycle these past two years. What about LC? LC last year before Joe was hurt was a very good football team. Year and year out LC can compete normally. This year even with all the injuries LC has still done fairly well against good teams. LC's depth has hurt the team in 4th quarter of some games.

Just 27 points, I think that speaks volumes for LCs defense the past two weeks. Take away offensive errors and who knows what happens.

Who said I was talking about Williamsburg? and in my argument I should have included Pikeville because they are normally considered one of the better class A teams in KY. I am talking about Lynn Camp and any of the other smaller school in the area. LCA went to state last year, so playing them is ok because if Corbin loses it's ok, they got beat by a state runner up. Bottom line. Corbin has nothing to gain from playing any of the local smaller schools, because they are expected to win and if they lose.... well why take that chance, it's just not worth it when you may get beat from time to time now because Corbin is no longer guaranteed a victory and it's just too scary a proposition to take a chance on it.

Corbin is afraid to get beat by the smaller schools. Its ok to loose against a NKY team, but heaven forbid a local small school beating them. However Corbin will play the small schools in other sports all they want.
