Corbin 56 Somerset 10

Featured Replies

Final and Corbin goes 10 and 0 on the year.

Man the Hounds put a beat down on the Jumpers! I thought they would win but not in this type of blow-out.

2nd team and JV played mid 3rd quarter on. Looked as though Watkins had some type of ankle injury.

grats to Corbin and good thing Somerset is in 3A.

Hate to hear of any injury this time of year. Hope he is ok, he has alot of talent and they can't afford to lose another back.

Caleb has a mild sprain and should be fine. Corbin has a bye week which should rest him up.

Great to hear its something that will heal up quickly.

Somerset has a lot of rebuilding to do, no wonder Cobb was looking to move on a while back.

With tackle Michael Phelps out for the year there are only 5 seniors on the roster. One only plays on special teams, one is the kicker, only 3 are positional starters. They should be much better the next couple of years, and still have 5 wins this year in a rebuilding season.

Corbin played a great game tonight. All their backs ran the ball hard and they throw it better than what I expected. Somerset's young players have got to learn to tackle better. Too many times they would either throw a shoulder into a runner and not wrap up or grab and catch instead of driving through the runner. This game was basically won for the Redhounds in the weight room last offseason. Somerset's youngsters have got to hit the weights harder this offseason and get stronger--there is a lot of talent their but for the Jumpers to realize their potential they have to get stronger and play better defense. Congrats to the Redhounds on an undefeated regular season.

Somerset's middle school is pretty darn good this year......They should be fine in a year or 2.

And their freshman class went 9-0 last year as 8th graders. The sophmore class is very talented as well. Their future can be very bright with some hard work. :thumb:

Not many teams have tackled Campbell or Watkins very well all year, I believe they are the strongest on the team. Watkins is this years "Iron Man".

Hopefully we can rest Caleb and a few other players for 3 weeks. Not taking anyone for granted, but an 0-9 Morgan Co. should help us rest some key 2-way players. Hopefully a couple of seniors could get a start or a little PT to rest some starters for the stretch run........

That's a lot of points scored in the game
