  1. Should be a fun game to watch. Go and watch Future Wildcat Vinny Zollo. Hopefully this Future Wildcat has a little better showing vs. a Northern Kentucky team then his fellow signee Euton did.:sssh:
  2. Devin we will be praying that your surgery is tremendously successful and look forward to seeing you back on the court soon. Battling it out with Conner won't be the same without you there.
  3. I understand that Mason Co. might be a little down this year. Highlands by 15.
  4. There are a lot of schools out there that are more than just jock schools. I guess when you've had the kinda sports year Covington Catholic has had you gotta fall back on something.
  5. Wow what a game. The Birds were down by 11 late in the 4th. Ryle is for real. They are very athletic. I've never see a more classier group of people. Some of the Ryle players came over after the game and checked on Bekah Towles after the game. Towles was involved in quite a collision with Crittendon. After watching them tonight I wouldn't be suprised to see Ryle in a regional championship.
  6. Well at least other 9th region teams get to see the game played at a different level.
  7. I couldn't agree with you more with your depleted analogy. Everyone knows depleted is defined as; to use up or reduce something such as supplies, resources, or energy. Against ND and Boone that's what exactly Highlands did, they wore both of those teams down. Highlands is the best team in the 9th region. Their record indicates it. That certainly doesn't guarantee a regional championship, but to say it's completely wide open might be a bit reaching. I personally think it will come down to Highlands and ND. They are the most consistant two teams in the region by far.
  8. Other than a picture there wasn't many details in the paper.
  9. This should be a good game Tuesday evening at Boone. Highlands by 8.
  10. Highlands has been very consistant this year. There is no reason to believe anything will change on Friday. Highlands by 10.
  11. I'll admit I was wrong. Congrats NCC! Friday night should be fun.
  12. The original quote by another poster was about Highlands sailing through the district tournament. It said nothing about the region. No one ever mentioned anything about winning the district tournament being an accomplishment nor did I comment in this thread about their potential of winning anything else. Obviously you had had some built up tension that you let loose. If that's the case I hope you feel better.
  13. I don't care if they have pianos on their backs, they'll get out of this district.
  14. When coach Listerman watches the tape of the game the one thing that should stick out more than anything is how out of shape several of his players are. I don't know how much better of a team Highlands is, but I can tell you they were in much better physical shape than Covington Catholic.
  15. Your analogy is a little concerning. I'm glad you're not representing the Ft. Thomas School District or least I hope you’re not. When you evaluate these things you have to consider foreseeability. It's not really foreseeable that a student or parent would fall of the roof of the school building during the normal course of use. However it's far more foreseeable that shooting that cannon off in the midst of people whether fans or the cannon crew creates a far greater potential for a problem. Remember earlier in the year when the thing accidentally went off. Luckily no one was standing in front of it. This decision I'm sure has already been made. Let's look for another tradition where the potential ramifications from a mistake or malfunction won’t result in a severe injury.
  16. Thank God is right that Mr. Roller is still with us. The cannon has got to go. Some are thinking with their hearts instead of their brains. Earlier this year in a game there was an accidental discharge of the cannon in the middle of a series. Fortunately no one was injured. Unless you're going to have firemen come and shoot the thing off then get rid of it. This was man was severely injured. I'll be shocked if it's back.
  17. Highlands knocked off the 9th ranked team in the state early in the year. Holy Cross on Monday.
  18. Not to take anything away from the Dixie Invitational, but the Vi Gerding Classic at Highlands High School this Saturday will be featuring 5 of the top 25 ranked teams in the state. 1:00pm Simon Kenton Ranked 19th v. Rockcastle County Ranked 18 3:00pm Boone Co. vs. Oldham Co. 5:00pm Notre Dame vs. Lexington Christian Ranked 2nd 7:00pm Highlands Ranked 25th vs. Lexington Catholic Ranked 9th
