Now that both teams had big wins last night, what happens Friday?

NCC in an upset. Win by 3.

NCC is going to surprise everyone come district/regional play. NCC will also surprise Highlands Friday night. NCC by 5.

Both teamsplay great defense.

 

IMO NCC guard play is as good as Highlands.

 

Will come down to Towles vs. Taber.

 

NCC in a close game.

This should be a great one. It's making me tempted to skip the good boys games and come watch this one.

Highlands has been very consistant this year. There is no reason to believe anything will change on Friday. Highlands by 10.

I may have to attend this one. I'll take Highlands by 6, thanks to them hitting Free Throws late...

I take NCC without a doubt.

The Bird gym is a tough place to get a win.

I think it will be a very difficult task for NCC to win at Highlands, as it is the most difficult place to play in the region for visiting teams. There is just NO room to play at the closed end. It was overwhemlingly voted the poorest venue in the region in a survey I saw last year. It actually isn't a good place for fans either as there are no aisles to walk in to get to seats. I've often wondered how the police/firemen permit this, as it is the only place I've ever been that you literally can't get out of the stands if you are seated higher than the 3rd row without falling all over people. With that said, I think a good showing by NCC will certainly project them into the 9th region picture and make for a more interesting remainder of the season. A 12-15 point win for Highlands will solidify their standing as the team to beat.

I agree about the gym 100%. It's usually a "sweat box" as well. IMO I think the game will be a close one. Both teams will get up for this one! The 36th District will be held at NCC this year. At least there will be elbow room for all, players included. Good luck to NCC on Friday!

I wouldn't say a whole lot about NCC's gym either. It definetly has its issues also..

We (NDA) played there (Highlands) earlier this year in a classic against Lex Christian and the lighting seemed much improved over last year. Personally I like the old gyms, kind of miss the atomosphere of Boone's old place.

 

I take Highlands by 10. Depth is tough to combat.
