  1. PLD is getting better. No breakthrough Ws but it's evident.

  6. Threads like these are indicative of society's larger problems. It's high school football.
  7. Tates Creek is an extremely athletic albeit young team. They seem to have found a rhythm on defense as of late. If they stopped Lafayette late they would have been district champions. They are getting better but are far from a great team. Peyton Burke is the QB he has 28 TD's and 6 INT's on the year. Robbie Lofton and Jackson Beerman are a great 1-2 combo at WR. Defensively and the OL TC is weak. Ashland has not played an athletic team like TC yet but TC has been gashed by RB's no where near the ability of Quinton Baker. I think it will be high scoring and exciting. I picked TC but I would not be surprised if they lost also. Living in the Lexington area I get to see a lot of football in this area and they are much improved over what they have been the last few years. I think they are headed in the right direction. I feel as if this game is a toss-up. If TC doesn't come ready on def. though they might just get smacked. I haven't seen them play in a few weeks, been checking some far away from home locales recently so everything is just from the LHL, BGP, twitter etc...
  8. The I think it will be a good game but Lexington Christian seems to have an athletic advantage. If I had to pick today is go with Lex. Christian but if Powell Co. Wins it wouldn't blow my mind.
  9. It's more a factor of the fact they have shifted offensive philosophy. One undeniable fact is PLD has played hard and will be tough matchup for Lafayette.
  10. Brandon Brewer has done a great job this year. 2nd winning season in program history and a district title. Lexington Christian should provide a good test for round 1 of the playoffs.
  11. Tates Creek has really improved. Had chances to go either way. Good luck to both teams as they head to the playoffs.

  16. 1. Quinton Baker-Ashland 2. Riley Hall-Pulaski Co. 3. Kash Daniel-Paintsville
  17. Because at some of those jobs you have to try harder to lose than win. Most of them currently in the positions you listed came in to a program with great tradition, good facilities and most importantly parental support. It's just not impressive to watch trinity win. They should.
  18. In your opinion who has done the best job coaching their team this year? In my personal opinion it has been Brandon Brewer at Powell Co. they won for the first time ever against Breathitt Co. are 4-0 in district play (5-3 overall) and are on the verge of only the 2nd winning season in program history. There was talk of trying to eliminate football all together in the district prior to the season. I also think David Buchanan at Mercer Co., Antoine Sims at Tates Creek and the new coach at Waggener have done very good jobs this year.
