  1. Lafayette must cut down on their penalties. Seen probably 5 personal fouls this half. Couple of false starts etc...
  2. 715 left. Walker Wood the difference. I've seen him play better too. Goes to show you what a difference maker he is at this level. Shout out to Lafayette oline, they've been the difference in the second half.
  3. Lafayette scores again. Butler held on for as long as they could. Lafayette too big and talented. 33 to 8.
  4. Both coaches have done a really good job today calming down a simmering tension between the teams. Much improved.
  5. No idea. After how chippy this game was last night, they've allowed so many things to go unaddressed. Lafayette just onside kicked picked the ball up after 8 yards. Crew gave ball to Lafayette. It's been bad today.
  6. 27 to 8. 31 yard TD pass. Lafayette to after false start on xp.
  7. Walker Wood is a stud. Makes play after play.
  8. This game changed after Butler's QB was slammed after being out of bounds by about three yards. Hasn't been the same since. Lafayette has so much size and talent. Something is missing.
  9. Butler's receivers have beaten Lafayette deep numerous times only for the ball to be under thrown or drop the ball. Punt just hit a Lafayette returners foot and the refs gave the ball to Lafayette. This officiating crew has been atrocious both ways. They don't deserve to be here.
  10. Fayette Co. won 75-61. It was down to 8 at one time but they started to foul. #44 from Knott Central is a really good high school center. He uses his bulk well. He should be the focal point of the offense. When the ball went through him good things happened. Too many times it was jack up a 3 today.
  11. Oumar Keita running his mouth non stop gets shut up to end the half. Demarcus from Bryan Station carrying them. Dropped 3 3's on him. 20 to 17 at half. Cordia only has 8 dressed. Bryan Station is sitting back playing Cordia's game.
  12. I'm sure he's a fine player but when you take a ton of shots. It's easy to score a lot of points. The honest truth is he should be taking that many shots though. Caverna doesn't have a lot of weapons. When he shoots it gives them their best chance to win. If I coached them I'd do the same thing.
  13. Fayette Co. Leads 41 to 31. It would be a lot worse but the foul disparity between Knott and Fayette is wide. Knott is playing without their best player.
  14. I'm embarrassed by Knott Centrals fans behavior. Some of these clowns need to stay in Hindman.
  15. Everything is cyclical. Just no great teams. I do believe the talent is more spread out amongst a lot of players. Haven't seen everyone yet. That dominant team might be out there. Trinity does a lot of things well but there are certain teams that are a stylistic nightmare. Their guard play and press break is sub par. A team like Central or a full strength Bryan Station would be problematic for them.
  16. Trinity is a decent team but if they are Kentuckys best then there are no great teams this year.

  18. I've been going to this since it was the Pepsi Classic. Probably make it on Sunday or Tuesday. One of the best games I've ever seen Lexington Catholic over Maine Central Institute (who was absolutely loaded). Another great memory watching Vincent Yarbrough and the Cleveland, TN team run their mouth prior to playing Highlands. Highlands proceeded to dismantle them (Derek Smith and Jared Lorenzen were a great duo). Kenny Gregory and Elton Brand were the best offensive performers I've seen. Casey Sanders had the best defensive performance. I'll also never forget Marquis Estill throwing a lob from the free throw line to Kenneal Jenkins who caught it as he was jumping over Doug Dezarn from Clay Co (that was a fun team to watch Chuckie Fritz and Brandon Campbell (I think were their names) Lights out shooters. A couple of interesting notes Nathan Popp playing for Shelby Co. one year and Lexington Catholic the next and Ben Bowling playing for Perry Central and then Westminster Academy the year after was weird. Another great moment was watching the fans from Mason Co. destroy Henry Clay all game and at the very end Henry Clay hit a buzzer beater to win shut them up really quickly. Derek Springate single handedly carrying Boyle Co., I think his name was Shawn Graham leading Fleming Co. Many other great memories. Sorry for the trip down memory lane. Great tourney.
  19. Does anyone know today's schedule. What's posted on the KHSAA scoreboard is incomplete. Thanks.
