  1. Tates Creek clinches the district title and moves to 7-2. They seem really banged up right now.
  2. Watched some of the 2nd half on Prepspin. Danville won the battle upfront in the 2nd half. They have one of the best 1-2 backfield punches in the state with Harris and Van Cleave.
  3. Douglass scored late to go up 14-7. Not sure if this game is over or not yet.
  4. 13-7. 252 left in 2nd. KCD int leads to a Panther TD.
  5. TC beat Henry Clay by 48. 3 way tie for city if Clay wins. If they get by Lafayette.
  6. Frankfort is tough but they have 21 guys dressed. KCD has around 45.
  7. If I am not mistaken Henry Clay has won 3 of 4. How does that qualify them as a team on the down fall? Especially after an 0-3 start.
  8. 49-21 late 3rd. Scottt Co. In control. They have gradually worn Douglass down.
  9. Not sure how the game went only caught the last few minutes on Prep Spin.
  10. Where to begin on this one. As a neutral observer TC has every right to feel cheated. The crew that worked this game tonight does not deserve to work varsity high school football games. The refs were not equally bad. The game was farcical after the end of the 2nd quarter. Danville has a nice team but come playoff time they won't have refs from their little fiefdom to help them win. It was a truly disappointing end to a good game. Great news for all involved is that Danville has to come to Lexington next year, the officials will be infinitely better and they can get a fair shake which was denied last night.
  11. Is Paul Colombia helping Dr. Lucas? I think GRC will improve. They have been woeful since he was let go. This should bring a lot of positive momentum for Douglass, but at the end of the day, GRC just doesn't have enough talent to compete at the 6A level right now. I think that will gradually change but Douglass has 7 kids alone that started for Bryan Station last year. This doesn't include a stud RB who played really well at PLD two years ago prior to injury and all of the kids from Henry Clay, LCA and other schools who are now there (and a d1 player from Texas). Douglass has a lot of talent but they do not have much depth. The one thing that concerns me for Douglass are injuries, if a couple of kids go down they are really, really young.
  12. Manual has plenty of talent and will be fine. I am a big fan of Coach Carmony. TC was surprising last night. With all of the offensive weapons they lost, I wasn't sure what they would look like. Both teams have work to do, but there were plenty of positives for both sides.
  13. Wasn't as close as the final score indicates. Manual returned a pick 6 with around 50 seconds left.
  14. Anyone know who they scrimmage this year?
  15. Zia Combs-Henry Clay Brandon Logan-Lexington Catholic Brandent Englemon-Holmes
  16. How does someone become a soccer official?
  17. I've seen lots of chatter in the social media world and it looks like both of the schools that are impacted with this change will be losing quite a few younger players. Not sure if any older established ones will follow. I expect the biggest challenge they face in year 1 is having a coach with no high school experience. I'm not saying that as a shot at their new head coach, it's just in any job there will be an adjustment period. Who he hires as his coordinators will tell everyone how successful they will be. Also, he seems to be lucky that he has a football guy as his principal, as it is next to impossible to get assistant coaches in the building at FCPS. I'll say this much though, Fayette Co. spared no expense at that school.
