I actually think it has become more humiliating for a team up 34 to “kick it”. That just means they want to keep the clock from running.

Shepherd is being too unselfish and I see a little more of "I am going to get mine from a few others". Hopefully they can get theirs, but it won't hurt the team. Shepherd trying to be unselfish to a fault has seemed to take a little aggressiveness out of his game.

Actually if you ever listen to Deion, he talks about Saban being the GOAT and that he calls him regularly for advice.

Quality of Life would be the only thing that Kirby would leave for. NFL coaches don't have to recruit which is a huge deal if you want to be any type of family man.

It would be great for the whole state. It probably won't happen...but he would be the guy that would most get under Cal's skin IMO.

U of L needs instant juice. Pearl is the best in a new situation first 3-5 years. After 5-7 years program is back and they can pick their coach.

They have enough depth, hopefully Cal won't allow that to happen...but I am with you. When he is on...he takes UK to a whole different level as well!

If I am Louisville I kick the tires on Bruce Pearl. Pearl is a guy who brings instant fanfare and intrigue and it would fire the whole state of KY up in one way or another.

I think these high level group of 5 and FCS programs are going to have the hardest time fending the portal raiders off...Probably have great staffs who develop kids well, but don't have the means to keep up with the big boys in NIL. Coastal might be different because of their former billionaire coach...I am not sure what his relationship to the program is there, but he has the cash to make some nice NIL deals I would say.

As some have stated on here, the amount of scholarships and top level talent has not gone up or down, only the process of getting that talent on campus has changed. I think once the dust settles (The Covid redshirt has killed HS players more than anything) and the portal is realized...the numbers will even out and HS kids will be fine. One thing that would help HS students is to drop the age requirement for the NFL to 20 years old. Let those top level players go a year earlier than before.

Will this Bowl game even happen. Talk about a possible shot towards even more playoff teams in the future...teams who get snubbed for playoffs, simply decline Bowl games.

I am sure most of these QB's are in the same boat from that perspective. The running clock definitely hurts the stats of good players on really good team. But it also keeps some "mercy" in the game.

I saw where Kayia Sherron entered the portal...does this mean with Wade and Sherron out that UK is without a back up qb for the Bowl game? Also if this was basketball, Stoops would be getting ripped for Sherron not getting a shot as a KY kid.

If Florida St struggles at all with U of L and doesn't have thier QB...I think they are out regardless of being undefeated. Washington vs Oregon is a play in game. UGA is in...If UGA beats Bama, does FSU get jumped by tOSU or Texas (Assuming Texas Wins)?

There are 200 available minutes in a college basketball game. If they have 8 dudes that is 25 minutes per game...keep them fresh...challenge them to play as hard as they can when they are on the floor knowing they will get plenty of rest. Go with the hot hands the last 5 minutes of the game on any given night!

Most fun I have had watching a UK game in a number of years. I hope they can keep up the exciting brand. I hope that Cal learned a little last night in the last 5 minutes of the game. He slowed them down and went into his "4 minute offense" and they didn't handle it well. That has been Cal's MO for a while when he has the lead late in games...I don't think he can do that with this group! 8 man rotation coming with 4 shooters, stretch big and 3 slashers will allow them to play a number of ways IMO.

Which is why most people were scratching their heads that A.) TAMU was seriously considering Stoops and B.) Why Stoops would leave UK when he has it made both financially and with mediocre expectations.

There would need to be a KY All-Star game. I don’t think there is one anymore.
