I would have Georgia in regardless.

Winner of Washington/Oregon.

Michigan, assuming they beat Iowa.

Florida State, assuming they beat UL.  Unless Alabama beats Georgia.

Let's say Michigan wins, Washington wins, Texas wins, Florida State wins and Alabama wins. If UGA (12-1) is in regardless as well as Michigan (13-0), Washington (13-0), who gets that last spot? ACC Champ FSU (13-0), Big12 Champ Texas (12-1) or SEC Champ Alabama (12-1)?

I would say Florida State if they had their starting QB.

I honestly think it's possible that if Alabama beats Georgia, that UGA falls out and Bama can't get past Texas and they both miss the CFP.

Much as I loathe the SEC fans’ collective sense of entitlement, a 1-win loss SEC championship team won’t be left out.

I don't think they're that stupid to leave out the SEC.

Teams and conferences should be evaluated on an annual basis. Circumstances change, players/coaches change. But if anyone has earned the right to be given automatic qualification into the playoff, the SEC has earned that right. I think of modern era football beginning with the creation of the BCS in the late 90s. Since that point, the SEC has won 15 titles. The next closest is the ACC with 4 (5 if you count Miami, but they were in the Big East when they won).
