I do agree in that teams have good and bad weeks, but IMO it is way too early in the season to start picking district favorites, as teams make big strides in their progress of improvement at this point of the season.

No, this game will be easy for the Eagles as they roll on.

This game for L.C. could be the defining point for their entire season, do they come in with a good fight or do they go back up on the porch and hunker down. Which one it is I don't know but I do think that Belfry will have way too much for them this night.

I understand your enthusiasm, Raceland scared me going into that game although I still thought Ashland would win. They had a good nucleus coming back from a good team last year led by a good qb in Grizzle. But most of the people here in A-town maybe were a little overconfident. And you can't be that way against a good team.

I was expecting to see alot more red on the other side this week but I realize it was a 2 hour drive. I kinda was surprised at the Ashland turnout after last week.

This game was alot closer than I expected but I'm sure they were saving their best for next week against Ashland.

None needed. Most around felt like this years season was done with, no offense to Raceland. I think after a devastating loss when expected to win can deflate a lot of teams.

I'm don't disagree with Haywood, Ashland had an awful hard time stopping them all night long.

WOW!!! What a great game. Good luck to Belfry the rest of the year, you have one heck of a team. I felt like these Cats could win but it would take a lot of heart and they showed it tonight. I said earlier I thought this game would be alot closer than what people were predicting. Now maybe Ashland can start believing in themselves again and start improving every week. I agree. As I said before, I don't think this Friday's game will be a blowout. Ashland is a much better team than what they have shown in the first two scrimmages and in game 1, and they have improved through each. The true test will be if the Ashland kids put the past behind them and focus on the present. It is a good and talented bunch of boys that have seen success all the way up thru school and I feel there's no reason they can't be successful this season.
