JC Alumni 76 Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 Whats everyone's thoughts on this game? It is sort of hard to predict a score with a out of state team but i can guarantee you this, that it wont be the offensive shootout that it was last year at Logan. Dont know what Logan returns but i think that JC should roll in this one. My prediction: JC: 49 Logan, WV: 7
xyience Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 Johnson Central wins this one. And the trend of holding their opponents to single digit scoring will continue. JK Ratliff has thrown the ball good and he has alot of options to throw to. I look for him to really start airing the ball out in this game. Johnson Central - 45 Logan, WV - 8
Dark Horse Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 JC 42 Logan 9 Jc should roll in this one and hopfully all the player wil drink plenty of fluids and rest so there no running off the feild with cramps..Man they hurt... I think JC and there crowd will be to much for Logan.. Go Eagles

He plays some real good warm-up music, and gets the team ready to play with that entrance music when they run out of the tunnel. During the game he has some real good 4 or 5 second song clips for when theres a big play or a big hit. My personal favorite was when one of JC's players got hurt, that song he played was perfect.

JC 60 Logan 6 Thank South Laurel for the sound clips. It'd be nice if we could come up with something original. I, for one, could do without the karioke at halftime, although the little "Dixie Chicks" did a nice job with My Old Kentucky Home and The National Anthem. I would have rather seen 15 minutes of South Point's band; they were good, and made that trip all the way down here.

The three done really good singing My Old Kentucky Home and The National Anthem. The solo's werent so hot but that may have alot to do with the sound system cause it didnt sound to hot. I guess that they learned from last year not to leave the horses on the field to long. Overall i thought that it was a good setup and definately has the makings of a good festive night of football. I know that RECC is wanting to make this a four team bowl like the Big Sandy Bowl used to be.
BrewDog Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 I was surfing and saw that Logan lost its home opener last night to Man. (Wonder if somewhere, maybe on Venus, there's a town named Woman?). Anyway, I believe its a big rivalry game for them.

My mom is from that area and she went to Man high school and she told me how muched they loved to beat Logan. It is sort of like our Rivalry with Paintsville. But if they lost that game it probably doesnt speak good on Logans part cause i believe that Man has pretty much always been weak in football.

INSIDEZONE Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 Logan did loose to Man last night. This should be another easy win for the Eagles.
BrewDog Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 Logan did loose to Man last night. This should be another easy win for the Eagles. 18-13, I think. I don't think we'll see 70-49 again.

I am saying that JC is going win, but no win is easy. The thing I like about matney and his staff is they know when they have beat a team. There is no sense in leaving the varsity players in on a team when they have already all but won the game. The only game I want to see the starters left in the enitre game is against paintsville and ashland!

Oh and for the props on the music if i am not mistaken Todd Conley does them he works hard to get that stuff ready for all sports...

Belfry Wins Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 It is a big rivalry game for them. I have alot family there and Man has always had a good team. They use to give Belfry all they wanted. Man this year lost their RB's but return their QB and most of their lines. Them and Logan is a close game every year. I still think JC will win this though I will say 35 to 7. I really dont know what Logan has this year I will have to talk to my family from Man and see what Logan does have.
