  1. There you go! All of those weights listed on here that weren't done at one of these meets were not done properly and therefore don't count.
  2. There's nothing like genetics!
  3. Let's hope so!! 2 years in a row seems like an eternity in a series controlled by the Cats.
  4. A very good post! :thumb: ....and, laced with.......truth......and.....wisdom.
  5. Sounds impressive to me.
  6. Yes indeed!!! :thumb:
  7. Do you railbirds even know anything about football?
  8. Yes he did. :thumb:
  9. But he .. was .. playing for both teams. And with the amount of experience he has, he will improve on that IMO.
  10. I agree. :thumb:
  11. Yes, he was throwing against them but some of his throws were passes that required som precision in throwing. Considering it was the first time out in a game situation, I feel a little better about this fall without Holbrook.
  12. I agree but I'm not so sure that they will rely on the run game any more than last year.
  13. If memory serves me right, he didn't have much of a chance to impress last year on Friday nights since he was on the depth chart behind Ian Holbrook. I think that is the whole point, some people questioned whether or not he would be able to lead the Cats this fall after his performance with the jv last year.
  14. I haven't said of any kids that were hard working. I just said you could put a measurement on how hard kids are working. Like was said the weight lifting totals or speeds and listening to how people of the programs ( coaches, fans, etc. ) are talking about these kids. I do believe the gauge of a kid's heart is big if he is putting in the good solid effort of off season training and conditioning. These will definitely help the kid come fall football season.
  15. I don't see the kids now but I will this fall.
  16. But not as much fun as fall football!
  17. I don't think so, he was mentioned in the first of this thread. And I'm not so sure I would classify him as a surprise player! All the teams that will play Russell this year will be aware of #24.
  18. I don't think so. You can look at a kid and tell, during the offseason conditioning programs ( lost weight, increased muscle, others opinions, etc. ) how much a kid has improved or matured.
  19. I see clearly now! Thanks for the enlightenment guys.:thumb: This would prove to be most beneficial to the young man.
  20. You are so wise, Graybeard. What would a scrimmage be like with only one quarterback. Now that wouldn't be much fun.
  21. I guess since Ashland's administration are one of the proponents of that particular proposition that all transfers into the Ashland school district should be denied participation in all athletics. Sounds like the grounds for a good lawsuit to me.
  22. I think he or any other player will look better with the varsity rather than the JV players. And I don't mean to disrespect the JV players, but the level of play and intensity at the varsity level is higher. JV is a place where those players that don't get the chance to perform on Friday nights get to show what they can do. And as they impress you do see them some on Friday nights.
  23. He needs to be on his medicine too. I mean he does take some for that, does'nt he?
