There were 4 x 8 minute quarters and they were divided into two seperately scored halfs. Scott won the first half by about 7?. St Henry won the second half by 3.

I was a bit disappointed that SK's defense couldn't adjust to slow down Conner's passing attack. Simpson and West are two all-stars for sure! Congrats to the Pioneers!!!

That's what I'm hearing from the 'Neers that are driving home.

There use to be 11 game seasons in hs football and far fewer teams made the playoffs each year. It seems there was always controversy about teams that narrowly missed the playoffs each season. Isn't this shortened season and an expanded playoff field more or less an 11th game and a chance for their to be no excuses for teams that didn't make the playoffs?

Grant did play the better game and rightfully deserved to win. Scott's big rally in the 2nd half fell short when they held Grant (and were down by less than one score) and were recieving a short punt at midfield and fumbled it away. There is no guarantee that Scott would have scored if they would have successfully fielded the punt, but they did have a ton of momentum going into that drive. The Holmes game came down to a missed xp at the end of regulation that left the score 20-20.

I think crowds were down a little. I can't remember the weather being a big issue in any of the 11 weeks either.

A missed xp at Holmes and a dropped punt against Grant County and this team could have easily have won 6 games.

I don't have any exact stats, but it was 42-6 at the half. HUGE game by Reyes and Bruner, both going over 100 yards rushing. I heard Scott had well over 500 yards total offense. Reyes had a 91 yard kickoff return as well.

Henry County has to be looking forward to next week and the playoffs. Scott would like to get a win to help salvage a season. I look for Henry County to play a hard first half, but sit starters in the second.

I think Dixie would have been a much better matchup for Beechwood.
