I don't have detail's but congratulations to SK

Amazing game. Simpson with 6 ru TDs and West with 5 pa and 1 ru.

SK had the ball 4th and 4 around midfield with 50 or so seconds left, and a Conner DT jumped offsides to end it.

One of the best games I've seen in a while...

Of course, and I missed it. Atleast I got to see Elder vs Colerain last week.

Definitely going to make this weeks game, already requested it off.

Congrats to the Pioneers - this was a game as advertised..very hard hitting, high scoring, excitement down to the end, just like the first game - different victor this time.

Bottom line - Conner could NOT stop Simpson...but not many teams have been able to. The changes SK has made since the first time these two teams played are remarkable, especially on the offensive side of the ball.

Conner threw the ball deep to either score or set up scores - SK weak on the pass, and difference was the two turnovers Conner had vs none by SK.

Great game by both teams.....and what a rivalry has been established. Both teams start mostly underclassmen - so this will be repeated next year!

I will do a different thread over the weekend to talk about the year Conner has had....

again, great game---those that decided to stay home...you missed one of the best in the area over the last twelve weeks.

To SK...go beat up on the Boone County Rebels next Friday night...and I'll be there rooting for SK to win :)

What a great win for the coaches, the kids, and the program in general. Congrats Pioneers. Hope those jerseys get cleaned this week.

Pretty darn exciting game and was very much starting to look like a replay of their earlier game before the game-ending offsides penalty. Lots of great offense and lots of poor defense. Conner couldn't stop Simpson to save their life and SK's secondary got torched repeatedly by Conner's aerial attack. A little surprised the crowd wasn't bigger. Not a bad crowd, but just not quite as big as I would have expected. Congrats to Conner on a nice season and good luck to SK, who will have their hands full next week with Boone.

I was a bit disappointed that SK's defense couldn't adjust to slow down Conner's passing attack. Simpson and West are two all-stars for sure! Congrats to the Pioneers!!!

What a game, I know msot of the time you should be confident about your team when they are up by 20 in the third, but Conner's offense was way to good for that. Two totally different styles, and neither team had the answer on defense. SK's Qb Chad Lawrence left the game in the 3rd QB, and former starter Patrick Bustle came in and was a beast. SK took posession with a little under two minutes to play, and only mustered 7 yards on their first three play and were around midfield. SK lined up under center, and Conner jumped off sides to end their hopes of another comeback. Luckily for SK they didn't have to punt because West and the Cougars were hitting on all cylinders in the 2nd half. Conner's last posession was something else, they converted on two 4th and longs, the first was amazing. SK finally applied some pressure on West, he was hit while throwing, the ball bounced off of the TE's hands, and another Cougar hauled it in for a first down. Later in the same drive they converted on 4th and five in the RZ to keep their eventual scoring drive. Miles carried the rock a bunch tonight but both QBs also had some nice rushing numbers. I would venture to guess that West had to have over 400 passing yards and also did some damage on the ground. Like stated above, Conner had two turnovers and I believe SK scored after both, Sk on the other hand didn't convert their PAT's, which really made it interesting. As sweet as the victory was, I hated to see the agony on the faces of the Cougars, they have a very good team and should be very proud of their accomplishments. I know most want to be at home on the holidays, but it's very exciting to know that the boys from Independence will be working on Thanksgiving day, it's never happened before, but things have turned the corner for SK. Congrats to coach M and his staff and all the player who've made this season the best in school history. Next up Boone County, I know we'll be the underdog after the result of the first game, but SK is playing very well right now.

As always, Boone County is probably the best big school in northern Kentucky. But I agree, Simon Kenton seems to be playing really well. The first game was a 42-7 mismatch, but I think the Pioneers will give Boone all they can handle next week.

SK's kicking game looks very weak. If they are able to keep the game close agaisnt Boone, this might be a deciding factor. Has it been this bad all season long?

Great game tonight, I am glad the Cougars turned their 1-9 season around and finished with some respect at 7-5. Good job Pioneers, good luck again Boone County next week.

Boone is the one team that shut down Simpson, he won't have 6 rushing td's on their defense.

Can't help but think that Conner's offense will routinely score 40-50 points next season with all the talent they have coming back. On the down side, they just may need to score that many if the defense doesn't improve. ;)

I agree Cooperstown, West is very impressive as a QB, considering they have no rushing game to speak of unless he's running the rock. He's very poised, and throws a very nice ball. When it's cold, the balls are hard and feel "pregnated", but he had no problem threading the needle, I'm just glad Conner jumped on the 4th and three play. I don't know what the TOP was in this game but Conner scored on quick strikes the whole second half. Their lasat drive was a long one, but SK had no answer for #10 and his Wrs. He's the best Qb in NKY since Lorenzen and he has the size to make it on the Divison 1 level.
