If you actually read my post verbatim, nowhere does it mention DIVING OR LEAVING YOUR FEET, OR SLINGING SOMEONE TO THE GROUND! A tackler's shoulder should hit anywhere between the belly button to just below the knees, followed by wrapping the arms and driving the ball carrier to the ground with your legs! Now that tackling 101 is over, lets get back to the point,and quit splitting hairs here! Even if your vast knowledge of proper form tackling is correct, :lol: the proper way to tackle, even as YOU SEE IT, doesn't occur on this team! Please don't insult my intelligence when it comes to fundamental football!

 

Seriously? I surely hope you do not teach this to anyone. It would be impossible to hit a person below the waist while keeping your head up and in a safe position. Tackling the way you mentioned is unsafe. I would rather my kid get up after hitting high and getting trucked than hitting low and never walking again. Absolutely! It worked out to a cost of about 50 cents per touchdown. Ain't no way you're getting that kind of deal down at Paul Brown Stadium! :lol:

I was taught from the time I was 8 to tackle this way and continue to teach this. There is only one way to tackle someone and that is low. Can not run if you can not move your legs. Look how miles carries the defenders that try to tackle him high. You can go in low and still keep your head up with no problem.
