Boone is the one team that shut down Simpson, he won't have 6 rushing td's on their defense.

 

I would have to agree, Boone's defense was the best SK faced, the Neers will have to be much better if they wish to have a chance. With that being said, SK is much better than they were seven weeks ago.

I agree Cooperstown, West is very impressive as a QB, considering they have no rushing game to speak of unless he's running the rock. He's very poised, and throws a very nice ball. When it's cold, the balls are hard and feel "pregnated", but he had no problem threading the needle, I'm just glad Conner jumped on the 4th and three play. I don't know what the TOP was in this game but Conner scored on quick strikes the whole second half. Their lasat drive was a long one, but SK had no answer for #10 and his Wrs. He's the best Qb in NKY since Lorenzen and he has the size to make it on the Divison 1 level.

 

Absolutely, unequivocably agree. And frankly, I don't even think there's a close second right now. I'm sure all the Highlands people will disagree, but West is in a league of his own.

Not over the hump yet, the NKY pinnacle would be a win over Boone County. Like I stated earlier in the week, being able to compete, and believe you can win are two different thing. SK needs to totally forget about the whitewash that occured two months ago, they are a different team in my mind and I know they believe the same. A stiff battle is ahead, but this isn't the same team that was absolutely embarrassed by Boone.

SK's corners struggled badly. Never once saw them try to jam Conner's WR's at line. Also not acceptable to play 7 yards off man and then get beat deep by 3-4 yards, especially late in game when you're more than happy to give up short, underneath passes. Of course, they're not going to have the same concerns facing Boone next week.

^ Yes. Conner ran the back side receivers on go routes and it was open everytime..

Wow, it is hard to believe that SK is playing football past Thanksgiving. To me, that is getting over a hump. Congrats to Coach M, his staff and players. It was a lot of fun watching the two best skill position players in the area in Simpson and West. It is kind of scary to say but I almost think Simpson seems to be getting better as the season goes on.

 

Congrats to Conner for turning your program around as well and good luck Pioneers next week.

Kind of wondering - anyone think SK was actually going to run a play on the 4th and 3 at the end of the game? Can't imagine they were doing anything more than hoping to draw Conner offsides (which, of course, they did!), since if they don't make it Conner gets the ball at midfield and probably stands a good chance of winning the game, even though they were out of timeouts. But, who knows - maybe they really were going to give Simpson the ball one more time.
