  1. Does anyone have a JV score from Saturday morning for this game?
  2. Dixie will roll... Dixie 35 Holmes 14
  3. Will Brossart win a game this year?
  4. Maybe. I don't recall at the beginning of the year the Eagles were supposed to win many (if any) games at all. A missed xp at Holmes. A dropped punt or an interception vs Grant and they could easily be 4-1 this morning... I can only tell you that the team has showed alot of character the last couple of weeks to stay in these games. Down 26-0 at the half they could have easily folded and given into a blow out. I was really proud of the way they fought back and came within striking distance of winning the game. I was impressed with Grant County and thought they were alot better than what we saw last year and alot better than I expected. Couldn't quite get over the mistakes of the first half though. I think the Eagles will regroup and be better for it in the long run. I do see improvement in their play each week.
  5. I would have let them score another touchdown. Odds are the scoreboard only has two digits. 20-3 looks much better than 96-20, IMO...
  6. Game was alot closer than I thought it would be.
  7. Great to see SK back at the .500 mark.
  8. Good win for the Colonels! The area's toughest schedule is finally softening a little...
  9. Good comeback effort for the Eagles losing for the second week by the same score. Jacob Reyes had an incredible interception and return for a touchdown. Late fumbled punt killed Scott's comeback effort. Great crowd, great atmosphere for a homecoming. Nice to see Doug Pelfrey honored before the game and have his jersey officially retired... Congrats to Grant County. I don't know if the series to play each other has been renewed or not, but it seems like a good evenly matched series that I would like to see continuing.
  10. Reasons I give the edge to Scott... If Scott plays as hard as they did against Holmes last Friday they should win the game Friday night. It was a great effort and a heartbreaking loss... It is homecoming and the players will be playing hard to win. Hopefully, they can stay focused from all the distractions that goes along with these events... Any of the players on the team that participated in last years game should be motivated to play hard. Scott was inside the 10 yard line at the end of the game and squandered away a chance for the win. The game went into ot and was eventually lost. Definitely one they should try to avenge... Grant County's three wins have came against teams with a 1-13 record. Pendleton (0-4), Owen (1-4), South Oldham (0-5)... I think both teams are fairly evenly matched, but I got to give Scott the edge for the reasons listed above. Still holding to... Scott 20 Grant 14
  11. This will be the sixth matchup between the two schools in their history. The series between the two schools began in 2001. Scott leads the series 3-2. Scott has won 3 of the last 4, including last years 14-13 overtime loss. The series... '07 @ GRANT GRANT 14 SCOTT 13 (OT) '04 @ SCOTT SCOTT 29 GRANT 7 '03 @ GRANT SCOTT 33 GRANT 14 '02 @ GRANT SCOTT 56 GRANT 6 '01 @ SCOTT GRANT 41 SCOTT34
  12. Dixie with a week off begins to reverse the trend... Dixie 31 Conner 14
  13. I give the Eagles the edge in this one. Scott 20 GC 14
