DEVILPRIDE78

WTG Red Devils. Good W and keep the Devil Pride burnin down deep. Good tough playing from the inside game. Russell's inside game has really stepped up this Regional tournament. I've said all along this season. This team can score 60 -70 pts a night if they are turned loose. Did the coaches make it on the bus tonight ??????  Looks like the Russell coaches will keep there job for another year. :irked: :irked: Fairview just had a bad night and it happen to be at the wrong time. Good season for the Eagles. 2 W's over the Tomcats. :ylsuper: Russell needs to keep the intensity up and the Pride of the Maroon & Gold will bring home the long over due Region Champs. Whoever wins. MVP for Russell -- Gill MVP for Elliott -- Ferguson Russell 58 Elliott Co. 53 :fire: :fire: :fire:

Agree. You can't have 19 & 20 yr olds playing against 14 & 15 & 16 year old kids. Parents are trying to advantage of the system these days the way it is know. My problem is on the other end. 12 & 13 year olds moving up and playing JV & Varsity. Understand that in some small schools (very few) is has to happen or a program will fall. Mostly in female sports. But when your school has the enrollment it should not happen. Love to see KHSAA do something where a kid plays 4 years only of varsity & JV sports. Example: Taking middle school players over soph & juniors on high school baseball. Now some of these players are coming straight from Little League ball to high school. Never even stepping on a babe Ruth Field. Now these Jr & Soph have played thru all the leagues and bought there time to put on there high school colors and now are refused. These may not be starters but they deserve being in the dugout and getting there shot. We thought it was about the kids ???????????????? Some times you wonder. :fire: :fire: :fire:

With the way the Gill & Turner stepped up there game against Rowan Co.. This should be a barn burner. Russell is going to stay physical with the Eagles. Hutchinson & Vanhoose will be a good match up. Blair & Sizemore will be the deciding factor. How good of a game these 2 have will be the answer. Keep that Devil Pride burning and refuse to lose. Gotta go with my Devils. Russell 48 Eagles 45 :fire: :fire: :fire:

Good win for the Devils. TEAM play tonight. Gill & Sizemore both had a good games. Good to see the other starters step up and get involved in the game when Vanhoose has an off night scoreing. Don't let up and keep that true Devil Pride going when you put on the Maroon & Gold. :fire: :fire: :fire:

Ashland was peaking at the right time and playing good ball. The streak had to end sometime. To bad it happend in Morehead. If I remember, there was another team that started eighth & ninth graders that give the Tomcats a fit. Are they noot going to schedule Elliott Co. for the next 5 yrs ??????? Good win Elliott Co. :fire: :fire: :fire:

I Agree That These 3 Players Are Pretty Good But They Did Not Contribute Very Much At The Varsity Level. I Really Do Not See Them Contributing Much At The Varisty Level This Year Unless Of An Injury. Raceland Returns Their Entire Starting Line Up Plus The Return The Morris Kid. The 3 Players You Named Will Keep Raceland Strong For The Next 3 Years. The Toliver Kid Is Extremely Fast But A D-1 Shortstop No Way.he Does Not Have The Arm To Play That Postion In College. His Arm Strength Is Questionable At Best For High School Shortstop. Best Chance For Him At The Next Level Is Outfield.:fire: :fire: :fire:

Agree. You got to remember that this Jr. class is the same class when they were Freshman, and he slammed that years senior class, to build this team around this class. But also rumors are that some kids might not be there next year out of this Jr class. With that regards. Is he going to take the rest of the coaches with him. :jump:

I must say that is impressive to hold this kind of talent to 8 pts a half. Let's ask the Devil coaches how they continue doing this. Turn them lose and let them play ??????? Hope we play better in Morhead or it's 1 and out.

Agree with BDOC. If you don't shoot You don't score. Russell's offensive coaching is pathetic. 24 pts with this talent is awful. This team is capable of putting up 60 - 70 a night but when you got an anchor tied to your back side, You end up with 24???????? The Musketeers ruled the furnace. Greenup showed tonight how to run a quick offense with quick passing and moving the ball back door cuts finishing with an easy 2. Russell was not in sinc. To many turn overs. Lazy passes. No movement without the ball. Just terrible. If the Devils don't improve the Dodd squad is over  :walk: and lets get ready for the diamond. :fire: :fire: :fire:

Talked with the ref that made the call. Johnson was wanting the foul but when Gill had the ball. The player intentional grab Gill when he did not have the ball and thus the call had to be made. :fire: :fire: :fire:

This should be a dandy. Ashland is playing just as good of ball as anybody right now. And Fairview is back on track. Can the Tomcats step up there inside game to match up with the Eagles and return one to the Eagles??????? Fairview 49 Ashland 48 :fire: :fire: :fire:

WTG Eagles. Team has not been playing up to par last few games and what a way to turn it around. Fairview has all the talent to make a good run in the regionals. Just play good physical fundamental ball. Take it to the Tomcats.

If Russell plays with more intensity. They will be alright. But if the Devils play the way they have the last two games it could be ugly. All starters are going to have to get involved in the game and put pts evenly. It's going to be a high score??????????? Gotta go with my Devils. Russell 47 Greenup Co. 45 :fire: :fire: :fire:

Blair called the time out in the process of the roll. As a matter of fact. his feet was in the air because of the roll when he called the time out. If you were sitting on the home side you could plainly see it. Good call. Now at the end there might have been a foul ????? Put the stripe shirt ??????

The intentional foul. Don't understand cause it was away from the ball. All I know was there was a lot of shirt stretching and after a ref warns all night. Some where he's going to blow the whistle. On the time out. Blair had called time out when he was in the process of the roll. If you were sitting on the home side. You could plainly see it. 2 players hustling for the ball and Blair comes out with it. Russell try to hand Raceland one and the Rams could not take advantage of it. Good game #41. Russell is going to have to play better. Turner was getting good position underneath and then he would get subbed ????? Russell is going to have to score quicker and quit coming up empty handed after running 40 - 50 sec off the clock. Good game for both teams & good hustle. Ref's were not a factor unless you were looking thru maroon or orange glasses. Go Devils thursday against Greenup Co. :fire: :fire: :fire:

  I thought this was for the players ? All four seniors should have started. :madman: :madman:

Great for Russell. But what they need is a new field house. 40 yrs of football in the one they have now. Seems the $$$$$$$$ would be there by now???? They need a field house in the worst kind of way.

That 3.8 seconds did seem to stretch some. But Russell should have never let Ashland get back in this game. What bothers most Devils is this was Senior night and there were 2 Seniors that did'nt even hit the floor. Win or Lose they should have at least started. It's there last night to play and they didn't get the chance. Every were you go and play on senior night. Seniors always start and starters take second fiddle. It's a tribute to the seniors ????????

All I can say is warm up the gloves and break out the bats cause your season is coming to quick end soon. See ya on the diamond.

Agree! Russell up 33-25 going into the 4th qtr. When you sit on the ball that just prevents your team from scoring also. And then when you sit on it and turn it over or come away empty handed ??????? Ashland coaches played smart and would let Russell run 30 -40 sec off the clock and then foul. Russell then would have to set up again and run more time and then come away empty handed. Russell coaches just handed this one away. Many times during the game Gill would have his player posted up but Russell would pass to late or not at all. Lets recoup and get for the Rams on Tuesday. Russell has the atheltes but they need to turned lose. :fire: :fire: :fire:

Should be done. You can break it down to so many numbers of school in each class. It needs to be done in each sport. That way the smaller schools have a chance to win there respective class. It's hard to compete with a school that has 1200 kids to choose from when yours has 400 to 600.

There will be a fire in the furnace Friday night. Both teams are playing very well heading into the districts. Ashland looks to be turning the curve and are starting to put it together. Russell comes off some impressive wins and is back on track without Casey. Even tho he could help. Ashland has no answer for Blair. Blair will be the difference in this game and Turner has helped on the inside presence. Gill , Turner & Lavender could have a good game if they get physical underneath. :fire: :fire: :fire: Russell 57 Ashland 54

Good road win for the Devils. Blair & Vanhoose was on tonight. Russell's D was the factor of the game not letting Elliott Co. get any looks & shutting down the outside shot. Inside game improved with Turner. Good win to get prepared for the districts. Ashland comes to the furnace Friday. Keep the momentum going. :fire: :fire: :fire:

Statmaster. Who keeps your stats? Maybe a parent of one. :fire: :fire:

Agree. Russell's inside game is going to have make there presence known. Gill & Lavender & Turner can do it. They are just going to have get physical and move ther feet and get in position. GET PHYSICAL. With the absence of Clark the bench can step it up. Russell will make a good run thru the district & region. Let's get ready to go to Sandy Hook for a god test before district start. :fire: :fire: :fire:
