Russell was up 10 at Halftime 23-13 and came out on a scoring drought. Raceland

took advantage and out scored Russell 19-7 in the 3rd quarter and from there on out the game was tight.

Jon Vanhoose had 15 points for the Devils.

Russell was lucky to pull this one out. They had an opportunity early to put Raceland away and failed to do it. Too many easy baskets for Raceland.

Russell needs to play alot better Thursday or it will be another loss to Greenup County.

What don't you understand about the statement? It's really pretty simple to understand. If Russell doesn't play better against Greenup Co. then the Musketeers will beat them again.

I mean Russell's lost two times to Greenup County and I dont think this performance tonight will not get the Job Done.

I few questionable calls down the stretch for the Devils. Did anyone see what happened on the intentional foul? That was a big one with all the rough play.I agree that the rough play was both ways. That why I say that it was a big one. The time-out as Blair is rolling over a Raceland player and the no call on Spark's shot.

Between the upset of Morgan, the Rose Hill run at Ashland, and this squeaker by Russell, is there any question at all, in anyone's mind, that this region is W-I-D-E open????

I couldn't agree with you more Frances. It is up for grabs. All these games coming down o the wire. The region will be one of the most intersting in years. I'm talking about game for game. You better come ready to play every night.

Sparks was fouled. No doubt about it. The intentional foul was just 2 players trying to get position. Terrible call. Raceland didn't help themselves by only hitting 6-13 from the free throw line. Season over, Raceland finished the season losing 7 of 8. What a slump. I feel for the seniors whose high school athletic careers are over. Thank goodness for baseball season. It couldnt had come quick enough.

I felt like the Raceland kids cae into the game well prepared and busted their butts. They just came up a little short. They played well against "the region's best". Kudos to Coach Johnson and the kids. This was a fine game to watch.

What? The intentional foul was legit. What was wrong with Blair's time-out. It was a good heads-up play by Austin. What about the mugging of Blair on the baseline that gave Raceland it's final chance at the end. It was well officiated. They were letting them play on both ends. Congrats to the Devils for moving on. Congrats to the Rams on a stellar season. :thumb:
